DEEP SPACE WAIFU: NEKOMIMI
Who hasn`t waited for the next installement of the quiet popular Deep Space Waifu franchise?! What can I say? It is still the same gameplay like in the first one, but bloody hell it still makes a lot of fun! If you liked the previous games you will definitly love this one! For those who are new to this series a short recap: Gameplay: This game is oriented on old classic vertical scroll shooters like "1942" or "Bleed Out Sakuretsu". The whole presentation is made up that way with some extra things to discover. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1595366919 It feels like a mix of Hotline Miami (You will know why, the moment you start up the game!), good old arcade games and everything that was awesome in the 80s. You have different characters to choose from with individual skills, slightly different playstyles and different outcomes regarding the story. You also have different ways to play (Gamemodes)! Story: You are part of the Neko Rescue Team! The goal of the game is to save all the poor stray Nekos from their horrible live on the street and put them under your protection! This happens by taming your future protégés by shooting off their clothes. Yes! Shooting off the clothes! This game is lewd and it doesn't hide that fact! The Story is rather short, but funny as hell and well written! Also worth to mention! Every girl you can capture has its own little introduction! They are worth to read! Graphic/Artstyle: Top! This game looks awesome! And regarding the girls: In the first Deep Space Waifu game I had problems liking the work of the Artist, because it looked way too messy! But in this game (and in all other DSW games) you can see that the Art improved to a point where I can say: Please more! Kudos to the Artist! Love you! After you have completed a stage you can visit each girl in the Gallery to embrace her cuteness! https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1595367439 Soundtrack: Yeah, why do I need an extra point for the soundtrack? Because Funny Death! I don't know why, but I love these games in combination with that music! Just listen to this masterpiece (It is the Maintheme)! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IBJf-PYKK2k So is this game worth it? What a funny question! YES! Get it! It is a blast like all the previous games! I promise you, if you either like Nekomimi, vertical scroll shooters or of course both you won't regret it to have this game! PS: Tabatha Wolfang is my Waifu!
Review with accompanying screenshots and videos on Sinical Network
https://www.sinicalanimenetwork.com/post/2019/01/04/deep-space-waifu-nekomimi-review King Bear returns again in this fourth title of the DEEP SPACE WAIFU series by Neko Climax Studios. This is an arcade vertical-scrolling bullet hell shooter with 11 anime catgirls, a panda girl, a cow girl, and a bunny girl across 12 levels. King Bear is joined by his friend Leisure Lion (formerly Mufasa) who left Hentalia together with King Bear from the prequel DEEP SPACE WAIFU: FANTASY, and a new female space biker FoXXXy, each with a different mode of fire and three different strengths. The three of them have entered a new realm called Neko Island and are in a team called the Neko Rescue Squad. The squad is on a mission to pick up various different animal girls on Neko Island. The game closely follows the same gameplay and graphics with its earlier titles DEEP SPACE WAIFU, DEEP SPACE WAIFU: FLAT JUSTICE and DEEP SPACE WAIFU: FANTASY as a standalone title. It is an arcade old school retro shooter with pixelated graphics which look similar to the EGA(Enhanced Graphics Adapter) 16-colour graphics used by computers nearly 3 decades ago in the 80s. It also has equally fun and interesting gameplay where in addition to shooting at enemy spaceships and a boss ship, an additional optional goal in each level are to shoot and deal enough damage to break off each girl's clothing. There is sufficient clothing, shape and scripted level route variety in each girl's stage. The open-world top-down 8-bit pixelated map is retained for the Neko Rescue Squad to choose the stage to play at. Sadly, this feature suffers from the same problematic bugs as in DEEP SPACE WAIFU: FANTASY where certain stages will not start, or King bear gets mysteriously stuck at a certain stage and is unable to move to choose another waifu's stage. Fortunately, the stage selection screen can also be reverted to the side-scrolling list view that is similar to the earlier titles of the series and doesn't have such bugs. For players who prefer a more challenging arcade bullet-hell shooter, players can also choose to play the stage in Gentleman's Mode where the stage will immediately be over if any part of the girl's clothing is torn or a hole is created. This challenging game mode is entirely optional and is not required for Steam achievements or additional further unlocks. I noticed one of the boss encounters have a very small opening to shoot at it without damaging any part of the waifu's clothing. Fortunately, the developers have taken in the feedback from players in its earlier title DEEP SPACE WAIFU: FANTASY for being difficult, and there are fewer enemy spaceships and bullets while it's still relatively easy to score five hearts at every stage to suit casual players in this title. The Steam achievements feature cute anime girl portraits and pink number icons, making it attractive to showcase on your profile, with equally nice artwork in the game cover and soundtrack cover. It would be nice if the game would feature more of the space waifus among the profile backgrounds. For players who prefer to uncensor and play with the adult content, it can be done easily by simply creating a blank text file with a certain name in the game's data folder (published Steam community guides are available to describe and walk players through the method). DEEP SPACE WAIFU: NEKOMIMI is a short casual game with fan service/adult content, decent amounts of tongue-in-cheek humour, nice vaporwave background music (BGM) and a song with vocals by Funny Death which are both pleasant and stirring and is appropriate for the 80s arcade themes. Regarding the plot and storyline, there is a bit of humour in this game as the Neko Rescue Squad picks up each space waifu. They are more similar to DEEP SPACE WAIFU where the conversation with each space waifu is independent of each other and there are no longer any quest objects. Overall, this game didn't change much from its formula which made all its titles attractive. NEKOMIMI has casual arcade shmup gameplay, compelling BGM and artwork featuring cute furry girls (For those who prefer to play the game censored, all girls will have skin matching underwear to hide all adult NSFW content). The additional option to pour milk on any part of the space waifu's picture for screenshots at the end of every space waifu's stage is a minor cosmetic addition to this game. Although playing through each level feels very similar after having played through all four titles of the DEEP SPACE WAIFU series, I would still recommend the game with soundtrack DLC for its attractive price and because the developer also appears to be responsive to fan feedback, bug reports and offers by fans to translate the game into additional languages. As such, the game has more than 220 positive reviews at the time of this review. く__,.ヘヽ. / ,ー、 〉 \ ', !-─‐-i / /´ /`ー' L//`ヽ、 / /, /| , , ', イ / /-‐/ i L_ ハ ヽ! i レ ヘ 7イ`ト レ'ァ-ト、!ハ| | !,/7 '0' ´0iソ| | |.从" _ ,,,, / |./ | レ'| i>.、,,__ _,.イ / .i | レ'| | / k_7_/レ'ヽ, ハ. | | |/i 〈|/ i ,.ヘ | i | .|/ / i: ヘ! \ | kヽ>、ハ _,.ヘ、 /、! !'〈//`T´', \ `'7'ーr' レ'ヽL__|___i,___,ンレ|ノ ト-,/ |___./ 'ー' !_,.:
Visual novel, JRPG, Anime Steam group - Join the group and consider following the group's curator list for more reviews or funny games http://steamcommunity.com/groups/vnislife
Achievements events group - Join the group and consider following the group's curator list for more reviews or games with easy/reasonable achievements http://steamcommunity.com/groups/GroupAchievements100
Developer homepage
https://store.steampowered.com/developer/NEKOCLIMAX
Crim's Humble Opinion Curator
To Bravely Go....Pretty Much Where We Went Before
Another fun and interesting installation to the strip em up series Deep Space Waifu. At this point you may pretty much know how the game works. If you don't I refer you to a more in depth review of a previous title here. There's not many bold new decisions with this one. Same type of gameplay with pretty much the same elements in a different theme. There are some minimal changes and additions such as the yarn ball weapon or the milk addition in the gallery. If you are a fan of the series pick it up. If you are new and are unsure if you are interested; I would still recommend starting with fantasy but like all the games in this series; they are cheap and fun.
Another great installment for the DEEP SPACE WAIFU series. You know what this is, folks. More of the same great artwork, gameplay, and best of all - music. Where-oh-where do they find these perfect beats. Well worth the small asking price.
The latest installment of the Deep Space Waifu Series. Graphics improved a lot.
the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ got very detailed and the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ look delicious, very good job by the artist
Gameplay and Story improved aswell. And the best part of all: the newly introduced Milkmode
you have now the option to cover the girls in your "Milk" before doing the pictures
Highly recommend this game, especially since it has so much more content than those other Hentai games wich sell for the same price.
before u start playing, go to \Steam\steamapps\common\Deep Space Waifu Nekomimi\Deep Space Waifu Nekomimi_Data and create a textfile naming it nude.patch.txt for unlocking improved graphics
The DSW (Deep Space Waifu) series is awesome ! I've bought the 1st one for a meme and since i kept buying the new ones because they're just awesome The thing that i love the most in the game is the Soundtracks, they are simply put excellent. The retro vibes of each songs are just extraordinary and it chills me everytime The gameplay is really good and fun, it makes it a nice casual shooter The art style of the girls is okay but it can still be improved and i'm sure Nekoclimax will improve it with time !
If you bought the game for the "naughty" stuff you can uncensor the game by going into the game's folder and /Deep Space Waifu Nekomimi_Data/ and create a file named "nude.patch", after that launch the game and Enjoy :3 Side note : The extension of the file has to be ".patch" and not ".txt" or anything else otherwise it won't work
TL;DR : I recommend the game, and by extension the whole DSP series if you like retro songs, shoot-em ups and/or Hentai hehe, Have fun o/
furries are not my fetish but i still had fun and i enjoy these type of games. they are easy enough and just let you relax. i also like how the devs keep people with hand disabilities in mind with the one handed mode. a short shump for a small fee.
