The game is very pretty looking. Definitely a step in the Killing Antidote direction. We have to encourage the devs who do not force us to play for ugly as a55 butch female protagonists. Definitely worth trying for the price.
I need to be clear, I do NOT recommend playing with a controller/Deck. Game is fine, otherwise. I only played with a controller. Aiming with a controller is either "on" or "off." You can't make extremely minor adjustments easily since there's no gradual acceleration with small inputs. It makes the entire shooting aspect a real pain, which greatly degrades the rest of the experience.
Another female protagonist 3rd person shooting game, and I'm here for it. Positives: -The shooting is pretty solid. It really doesn't need to be overly complex. -Gun variety is good for what the game is trying to do. -The protagonist is attractive, but also I appreciate how thorough the customization is for her. -The atmosphere as a whole is pretty good. I like the data logs you find. -Enemy variety is pretty solid. -Enemy models look really good. -Boss fights at least try to be unique. Negatives: -Rudimentary puzzles which are typically just find the power cells or turn on the power. There are a few interesting and unique puzzles, but it's kind of 50/50 on the quality of them. -Enemy variety doesn't matter since most of them can be boiled down to "run at the player and touch her". The biggest difference in many of the enemies is whether they are armored, or if they are small and fast. -Sound design needs improved. Specifically, loading the shotgun and the out of breath sound. The shotgun loading sound is really loud and it cuts out oddly, and the sound of her breathing heavy due to exhaustion sounds like a guy finishing a marathon. It's odd, to say the least. -Level design. Most of the levels if not all of them feature the same generic science fiction space station aesthetic. Corridors, rooms, and occasional biohorror. The levels need more variety. Also, most of them follow the typical Doom formula of: Find Keycard 1 for door 1 to get key 3 for door 3 to get key 2 for door 2 etc etc. It's very formulaic and exhausting. It's the main reason I haven't beaten the game yet... it is just too mind numbing. Maybe it improves after chapter 4 or 5 (I don't remember where I am). Overall: 6/10. It's a solid foundation, and I genuinely enjoy the game. 6USD is a good price for it so far. I've payed ten times that for a AAA game only to refund it after an hour so this game is pretty solid in my book. I wish the main character had some personality though. So far she is Jane Protagonist, and I hope that at some point the developer will hire a female voice actor to voice his protagonist or even just provide some unique sound bites for her. But since it's a single dev (I think?) I totally understand how hard it is to work on a game like this, and to consistently release updates. Keep doing a good job!
For the price and the quality this game is pretty good. it has kept me playing it for a few day now. great stuff.
Gameplay and shooting feels good.
It's like Temu gooner Dead Space, it's 5 bucks and honestly is pretty hilarious and actually fun survival horror somehow. It's full of jank and bugs and stutters sometimes, but I like how it doesn't take itself seriously and knows what it is. definitely good bang for your buck but not even close to something like The Killing Antidote. Having to leave the game and go to the menu to equip new outfits is a choice. 6.9/10
This game was amazing it's Dead Space with a hot girl whats not to like. Gameplay is fun great map design, and gunplay is also well done. I enjoyed every second of this game and the costume hunting dopamine i got from stellar blade is also here even though its on the lazier side just spend money on a machine to get random costume but still being able to have a wide variety of costumes is also great. I really hope the developer drops a continuation to this game I want more.
Oh dang this game exceeded my expectations! Honestly when I seen the price first thing I thought of is "this is going to be a meh game" but I was so wrong! This is the first game in so long that I actually kept playing in one sitting! it was that fun! Graphics are pretty, the character customization is nice and def welcomed! The guns feel good, zombies are unique (need to remove there head which I find hilariously cool) and overall the atmosphere feels right! Not to dark at all! can be played without the flashlight! This is a hidden gem and very underrated! My only complaint is I wish the game was longer! lol. If you like 3rd person shooters and or resident evil type games don't hesitate, just buy it!
It's pretty decent for the price this game offers. BUT, here's my thoughts: Yes...TKA offers more (beside the cake), is better polished, and supports workshop mods. Keep in mind, DS7 is a fifth of the price compare to TKA (as of this review date, base price wise). DS7 still has several janky things and quirks that needs improvement, but I can borderline tolerate it. I will say I did have a single crash while I was viewing the outfits (think it was one of the casual outfit). Performance does need improvements in certain areas (ex. in 1st chapter when going down the elevator behind lvl 2 keycard door, looking towards the laser locked area, my performance dips to mid-low 50s / another ex. in dungeon theme challenge, not sure if during enemy spawning and/or breaking one of the crates would pummel my FPS low 20s). I hope with the new engine version update the developer mentioned will alleviate some performance encounters. Everyone can speak out their POV between this versus TKA. This is how I feel based on my experience.
