Nein.
The physics are crap in this game.
I'd rather play DX-Ball 2 with some Slayer in the background.
Got it on sale, good graphics and great music, easy to play. Reminded me of Arknoid, I loved that game, so just had to buy. 80's generation would get it why. Kudos to the developer.
if you're a die hard break-out fan you may like this as it has some nice ideas (like the bumpers on some levels) but it needs work to feel complete also the "metal" music is some stripped down rifts that is on a loop and has no real metal feel left. this is just some slapped together game with little to no thought to its constructed only to make quick money and that's really sad because if someone expanded on whats here you could really have something fun and enjoyable.
so i purchased this game on sale for $0.99. i have since beat the game and acquired all but 2 achievements for it. i' m running it on an old hp laptop with an i5-2410 (built in intel 3000 graphics) so very weak graphically and it stays capped at 60 fps on the 1366x768 resolution screen. any pc with a graphics card or apu would have issues making this game run bad. my favorite thing about this game is that there are 0 microtransactions, dlc, loot boxes, or any other nonsense that other modern games are full of, your paying for the complete game! the game is very simple to understand but difficult to master. the campaign is a little short, but the level maps and lighting work perfectly to create challenges that feel skill based not luck based. i would like to see some more maps added in the future or maybe a map editor to allow the community to make their own maps. the music is awesome, but i might be biased as i'm a metal head. game is super simple, fun, and just a casual time waster that if you dont own you should remedy that asap!
DeathMetal is a Break-Out/Arkanoid arcade game where you bounce a ball off a paddle and destroy blocks by hitting them with the ball. When all the blocks are destroyed, the level is over. Pick up bonuses (like extra balls) and dodge penalties (make the balls smaller and harder to manage etc) as they drop randomly from the blocks you destroy. Overall this game is kind of okay with a few twists (like the walls aren't smooth and there's some moving wall segments that add some challenge), but you don't get any "control" over the ball by hitting at the right spots on the paddle. Also, the ball speeds up, frustratingly, removing a sense of control from the player as it exchanges skill for frantic twitch reflexes. It's just not quite good enough for me to recommend, especially with some of the frustrating mechanics.
