Lots of heroes, i wish they would give an update thou at some point with some new content.
Well balanced, well rounded characters. Only downside I would say ranged characters feel a bit underperforming against main boss on controller for me 9.7/10 More content please, DLC, maybe crafting, more zones

very entertaining gameplay mechanics, and its got like lore and stuff so you gotta go looking for the story which is kinda fun. i like it
my favorite bullet heaven
Very cool take on a survivor like. One of the best in the genre in my opinion. Hope to see more updates in the future!
DnD version of Vampire Survivors. It's pretty good, though not something I'm personally interested in. Big number go up kind of games aren't appealing to me, but maybe you like Vampire Survivors and are looking to scratch that itch.
game good, smash stuff, get loots, upgrades, smash more stuff, get more loots, repeat
Death Must Die is an interesting mashup of different genres. It's based on survivor-like open maps with points of interest and fixed 20-minute runs. The gameplay itself is more akin to Hades with more active combat, dodging, varied enemy types and the blessing system based on gods' archetypes. On top of that, there's ARPG-like itemization and skill trees that serve as metaprogression. The Hades influence is particularly strong. The game goes as far as to replicate little dialogues you get with gods before receiving their blessings. Hades fans (myself included) might feel right at home. However, it does sometimes feel like the game is trying too hard to copy Hades but doesn't entirely succeed in doing so. Metaprogression might be disappointing for survivor-like fans but quite good for ARPG fans. There's no endless progression and your choices are limited. Items don't get infinitely more powerful and your skill point limit is fairly low. This hard ceiling makes builds possible and along with the loadout system provides a nice ARPG-like sandbox. My biggest gripe is that this build determinism (items + skill trees) is at odds with completely random mid-run upgrades. You do have some power to influence the upgrade pool through rerolls and banishes but in the end it's still RNG-based. Your build might need specific upgrades to reach its full potential and if you get unlucky you might as well restart the run. The content feels limited as well. It's possible to finish all acts within a couple of hours. What's ultimately left is to play around with all seven characters and engage in buildcrafting. However, this might also get stale as most good builds are just screen-clearing machines with little input required. They might address some of those issues in the upcoming update based on messages from one of the developers on their discord. The game is certainly not dead but being a small-sized team seems to affect their development pace substantially. Death Must Die doesn't excel in any particular area but overall it's a fun mix. I can safely recommend it to anyone who wants a more involving survivor-like.
I commend
love the vibes and gameplay! things to consider: -there is no tutorial - hey dev you should add one! - cannot over stats to have a brief explanation to what they refer to -when you spend ability points they just lock in there is no editing or confirming feature - like hades you rely on each run on the favor of the gods so you need to be able to improvise solid boon builds
