Death Must Die

[b]DEATH MUST DIE[/b], is a very unique and fun combination of survivors-like and ARPG. It features a very similar and clearing inspired boon system to Hades, and the gods actually have quite charming novice voice acting. The loot system, like many ARPGs is quite overwhelming as gear can be unique featuring set stats or can roll many many multitudes of different stats and combinations. The pixel art is great and easy to run. The lore is mysterious and is very compelling. However, the character heroes feel very 2D and lacks the same amount of lore or depth as the gods. There are ways to mitigate loot RNG through the shop and stash to keep your previously looted items. Runs are easy to understand but can feel a little sad when you're going for specific builds, as only a predetermined set of gods will talk to you in a run and can only be slightly altered. The skill tree can take a little to understand and can feel quite limiting but can allow players to focus more on loadouts instead of it being a general meta-progression. One of the best bullet heaven games out there. Every character has a couple talent paths that change gameplay dramatically, and in addition to regular gear there's also unique items (200+ of them!!) that make new, fresh, creative builds effective. If you like build-crafting and bullet heavens, this is a game for you.

Game is decent., but that is. There is nothing special to keep you playing it. And game is about replayability and farming items for your next run.

Really just good mindless fun, not thrilled with how the gear upgrades have dried up and I cant get better than a blue in world three. But I cannot stop playing.
