สนุกมากกกกทให้ความรู้สึกเหมือนกลับไปเป็นเด็กอีกครั้งเลย
Absolute classic! Everything just works and then some! Fun combat, decent story, creative weapon combos, and a sweet as hell co-op experience playing with a buddy. The only real con I can give is the controller support being jank and outdated. It only supports Xbox 360 controllers natively, so you either have to have a 360 controller already or go through the hassle of running a 360 controller emulator while playing.
i can tell this was probably good back when it came out, but now after playing dead rising 3 and the deluxe remaster you can tell how unpolished the gameplay is compared to those. the combo weapons are much more taxing to combine and the psycho bosses (which was my favorite part of 3!!!!!) are just straight up truly unfair because you cant dodge or sprint in this game. if you are willing to accept these downfalls you might enjoy this, but i didnt as much as i thought i would. also i had no issue running this game unlike other reviews, i truly wish steam had a mixed review score because this is what it is for me.
TL;DR: Too many half naked women, not enough save points. The save points (or lack thereof) are odd. The game will often offer to save your game for you after completing a mission, but not if you accidentally walk in to a boss fight, meaning you'll often find yourself dying and having to backtrack through 15+ minutes of progress. The map system is, in my experience anyways, very counterintuitive. You also can't set your own waypoints or anything, which can make travel much more tedious than it has to be. The "zombex" system was great in theory, but in practice you can basically never find zombex by figuring it out yourself (after the tutorial level); you have to look it up because its tucked away in unintuitive spaces, even for someone who has played a lot of games featuring treasure hunts. This, when combined with the time limit, basically makes looking up the locations of Zombex online mandatory unless you're willing to devote your whole life to the game - which to me anyways, felt like cheating. This isn't even considering the fact that, in-universe, the way the infection is spread is confusingly inconsistent. In cutscenes people will turn basically immediately (within minutes max) of being bitten, but during gameplay, Chuck and his allies can be bitten numerous times and as long as Chuck quickly downs a large soda (seriously?), he's fine. No Zombex needed. Not great for immersion in my case. (Yes I know the game is deliberately silly to the point of comedy, but silly does not break my immersion. What breaks my immersion is when a game is internally inconsistent.) And why did the devs feel the need to include incredibly sexually provocative posters around the map? Hello??? A warning would've been a lot better! I plan to give the third game a try soon. I hope it's better than this mess.
