Nice distraction, but repetitive gameplay and resource scavenging aren't very exciting. The game has two modes. There's survival, in which you look for gear, improve, and gradually progress throughout the entire landscape. This might be called the primary mode. Horde mode is more action-oriented, with adversaries constantly attacking you. Both modes can be played at any of five difficulty levels. Don't worry if you don't enjoy survival components. Despite the name, the game does not include any. The only thing you have to worry about is energy. Lack of energy results in slower stamina restoration. This is easily addressed when you sleep in a bed. Sleeping also gives you a momentary perk. The controls are typical for a first-person shooter. You roam around, shoot zombies, gather anything you can find, and simply try to survive. Healing isn't automatic, so keep an eye out for two types of bandages and two types of shield kits to replenish your shield. New weapons are uncovered is supply rooms. There's a good selection, but you can only take three at a time. Another interesting element is the weapon and equipment upgrades that can be found flying around. They are divided into four tiers, with the legendary being the finest, boosting every single stat of a weapon. Using lower tier upgrades might be a waste of resources because one single legendary is all you need too fully boost a weapon. When you go to a workbench, which is always available at supply locations, you can upgrade or make new items. You can also swap any weapon you've discovered. Grabbing every valuable resource is critical because it allows you to build ammo and even upgrades. Resources can be located in containers like purses and briefcases. This is a bit of a pain because they're difficult to see in the environment and there's no visible cue on the screen to direct you to one. The map is open. It’s not very huge, but it allows you to search a few buildings for resources. The city is divided into four sectors that you can win by surviving waves. If you survive, a new supply rooms opens where you can stock up for the next switch. Zombies are not smart because they come at you in a straight line. Most of the times you can take out an entire wave by moving backwards while shooting forward. It’s also quite challenging because it’s easy to get stuck in the environment. Once you’re surrounded, you’re practically dead. You can build traps and repair explosive barrels, but you will waste resources that could be used for weapons and crafting. Since resources are limited, you can't afford to create just everything.
Very casual shut your brain off and play kinda game. It's been fun to play so far. Simple mechanics, simple game play, L4D level basic. Would love to see more get added to the game and see it grow.
Dead Alone is a very enjoyable game to play. I like the graphics, the hexogon style is really fun and makes the game look great. The mechanics are nice too, with a good survival mode, including construction and survival. Definitely a new indie game, well worth playing!
Really fun game! Amazing environment and game play!
First off i started playing this game tonight on my steam deck. With some minor control config the game is very playable. At the start of the game the resolution is already set at the steam decks resolution so you don't have to mess with the resolution at all. What you will have to adjust is the graphics settings. Everything is set to epic at the start. If you choose to play on those settings the game will run great for a while until you start encountering larger hordes and then the game starts to lag horribly. I immediately changed the graphic settings to low and the game stopped lagging. The game still looked great. I usually don't care for games with blocky graphics but this is by far in my opinion one of the best looking games that uses the blocky graphics and pulls it off well. The game looks great. I am a big fan of the Zombie Survival Horror genre and i am impressed with how good this game is. I am glad that i purchased such a fun game for the $4.99 it is currently going for. Having a great time with this game so far.
Very fun!

Discover an environment crafted with great care e love for details. Invent ways to get rid of the zombies using smart strategies and strategic vantage points you find in the way (they aren't obvious). Create traps for zombies and discover how to use them in the most effective ways. Craft as well projectiles and ammunition. Swap and recharge weapons as quickly as if you were a juggler. Take care of yourself having a nap when your energy is low.
expérience agréable, super fluide et on a vraiment pas le temps de s'ennuyer immersion ++ et vraiment beaucoup d'armes, je recommande!!
