meh.... you hit a wall at l 30. but after a acceptable amount of grinding it kind of picks back up. key is you dont always have to get 100% in a spot before moving on. you can come back. the suggested power to take a dungeon is nonsense. ignore it
I like the game and look forward to the future. the game is in a very early state regarding content. Devs listen to their user which I really like. Like dawn1, dawn2 just gets a lot more cool futures and much better graphics.
Not working anymore, sadly.

To everyone that's leaving negative reviews because the game lets you pick your pronoun: I'm sorry that a word hurt your feelings. Are you twelve? To everyone else: This is a decent idle rpg, based on a series of uncommonly well-written other idle rpgs and ccgs. Compared to the original, Dawn of the Dragons: Ascension is much more polished---although this sort of makes me nostalgic for the old clunkiness. DoD:A seems to have a better art budget than its predecessors, the music is good, and the game does a better job explaining how it works, and it also stops short of the Battlechasers threshold, where the game feels like it's been polished into oblivion. DoD:A tells a story that builds on the lore in the other games, and while it doesn't drop walls of words on you (which is sort of a shame, because those walls of words were *really* well-written), it has the same sort of style and tone. Basically, it's high fantasy, and it's going to seem generic as hell on the surface, but beneath that surface is a lot of fun, pulpy depth. It's also real murder-y. Like, I cannot stress enough how little regard for the sanctity of human life the writing in the other games had. If DoD:A is anything like the others, its characters will all be real fun, but oh man will people get murdered in stylish ways. This is either a point for or against the DoD, I can't tell, but it's definitely a recommendation to check out some of the fiction in the other games. In any case, this *is* still an idle game, so don't expect full JRPG levels of depth from its game mechanics. There's just enough crunch to its combat system to feel interesting, and there is a strategic component to how you build and equip your team, but a close equivalent is probably something like Fate: Grand Order. Basically, it's a free to play, and it's a good timekill, and if the writing is like the other games it will start very bland and then get *very* good. If you don't have a bunch of free time, or if you want your gaming to be a concentrated, highly-engaged experience and not just something you do while you're chilling out, you may want to give this a miss. But if you enjoyed the originals and you're curious where the story is headed, or if you just really like high fantasy, it's free and it's decent and so far I've been happy I gave it a try. UPDATE: As of 11/15/19, there are basically two zones, and one of them comes with an exhausting difficulty spike that requires you to re-run a bunch of old content to even attempt it. The plot starts off real bland and starts to get better (*if* you're already familiar with the lore of the series), but again there are basically only two zones right now, so you'll hit a missing content wall as soon as you're done with that. I poked around the forums and found out that that missing content wall has been there since basically launch...so, yeah. Hopefully the devs implement zone three sometime? Also, while it doesn't interfere with gameplay, the amount of cash this game is asking for for premium purchases is nutty. You do earn in-game currencies at a decent speed, and that speed ramps up as you get stronger and better at playing (there is skill to how you approach combat, and you can kind of punch outside of your weight class if you're good). However, 15 bucks to get some randomized tokens to attempt to start saving up for a premium character (much less upgrading them, which is done with the same randomized character-specific tokens) is not a purchase I don't think I'm ever going to be making. And with only two zones, there isn't really a reason for whales to whale other than to support a company that is currently dedicating its primary efforts to making *checks notes* cristiano ronaldo soccer games for mobile. Basically, whales get over the difficulty speed bump much faster, but then they're stuck at the same content wall as everyone else, and that makes it feel like the difficulty bump is a money trap. Basically, I wish the other reviews had been calling out this crap rather than getting big angry about a pronoun, but I couldn't in good conscience not come back and say caveat emptor to anyone who wants to check this out. I *think* it will get better, and it for certain has the potential to become quite good, but a strong sign of whether it's going to improve will probably be whether it's gotten a content update by the end of Dec 2019. UPDATE, FINAL: 12/4/19, no indication of any upcoming updates. I think it's reasonable to assume this is an unsupported game and that the publisher's letting it run in hopes of suckering a few more people into microtransactions before pulling the plug. Shame.
error code 0 25 minutes 20 of which were error code 0 reload auto loss error code 0 pity looked like it could have been interesting.
Relaxing and easy gameplay: log in, play your energy, log out. No bugs seen, sometimes errors occur if my wifi connecttion breaks down. Free and fun and no advertisement Hopefully there will be more content
