Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Same day: best AU #89, worst UK #97 · 2 markets collected
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 5/day in the week to Sep 11 → 24.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

There’s been a backlog of unsolved cases piling up in the Minor Crimes Division of the Los Zorangeles Police Department and we’ll need a Database Detective to help solve them.
We’ll need you to analyze clues and manipulate data using SQL, a database querying language, to figure out who perpetrated crimes from as minor as littering to as serious as not checking out of a hotel after the check-out time.

Don’t worry! This role is intended to be accessible for those without any SQL experience, so each Database Detective is given an introductory textbook when they start! This short textbook is less than 20 pages and explains everything that’s needed to solve each case.
If you still have trouble writing queries, our comprehensive error messaging system will tell you exactly where your query went wrong, making it easy to correct your mistakes.
Still not enough? Each Database Detective is assigned an assistant who’s ready to answer any questions you might have, whether they be about the case itself or the SQL queries you’ll need to write!

Understanding how to manipulate data using SQL is not the only part of being a Database Detective! Your job will also require you to piece together evidence and clues, just like a real detective! Further on in your Database Detective career, you’ll have to sleuth through the internet and piece cases together yourself.
Fully voice acted mission briefings at the beginning of each case!
Fully hand drawn art for you to enjoy!
More than 40 websites to explore!
10 cases for you to solve, each case getting longer and more complex!
A total of around 8-10 hours of valuable work experience to add to your resume!

Just a disclaimer, I am not a coder, so this game is my introduction to SQL and coding in general. But this game is a good way to learn and I learned my way from 0 to being able to solve the cases. So don't worry if you have no experience in SQL. What you need is an open mind and a willingness to learn. That said, it's a fun experience solving the cases with SQL. Most of my playtime is spent mostly on figuring out how to do the coding. I can say that the coding itself is part of, if not the main puzzle-solving aspect of the game, as there are too many tables and data values to do things the usual pen-and-paper-notes way with the usual deduction games, so you really have no choice but to use SQL for it. I've never done so much typing and cross-referencing just to get the name of 1 suspect! For me, this is still a must-buy for anyone who likes deductive or puzzle games. The humor, voice acting and storyline (yes, there is lore!) carried me through it! It's definitely a different experience and gameplay loop puzzle game-wise, and I highly recommend it if you're looking for something different! If you're still on the fence, try the demo first and see if you like it before committing to the full game!

Scarily accurate experience of my actual job.
One of the most fun games I have ever played. Yes it is that good and I don't know s**t about coding. But did I enjoy arresting brats for killing my boss's son's in-game character? YES. And some minor crimes may not be...so minor... The fate of humanity lies in your SQL abilities, apparently,
I'm currently jobless, looking for a data related role. And yet here I'm playing this to feel something.
Got a raise and SQLated my promotion at work. Query good!
Funny and clever game. The type of hand-made game that makes you feel grateful for finding it.
Buy it nerds.
This is a really fun game, and it has shown me how useful SQL can be in my work! I am a little frustrated with all the red herrings this game throws at you, especially in the last few chapters. It's also super annoying that the game doesn't save any of your lists when you accuse the wrong person, and you have to start from scratch. The lore-building in this game is super funny, though, and it really is an enjoyable game.
This took me too long because my observation skills are doodie and the lil hint guy was not being helpful enough lol Can be kind of easy to end up leading yourself astray and get confused. After 25 hours, still dunno how SQL works or how I got to the end, but I did it (lowkey had to look up a video guide a couple times, but i was always on the right track) overall, very good game. I was lowkey very invested in solving these mysteries and made me yearn for more coding-like detective games
