Enter a dark Lovecraftian world where four supreme beings called Keymasters play a sinister card game over the control of worlds. The 4-player gameplay and fresh unique mechanics ensure there is no real meta, so you can enjoy endless deck combinations. It's the social experience that card gamers have desperately wanted, but AAA publishers have failed to provide.
Online 4-Player
Inspired by the social/political fun of commander/EDH, Dark Table is purpose-built for 4-player gameplay. We’ve introduced a new level of fun and chaos, creating unique strategies that will have you on the edge of your seat until the very end of each game. The game's multiplayer nature auto-balances itself, making it difficult to create a single "meta deck" that can consistently beat a group of three other players, but that hasn’t stopped brewers from trying!
Leaders
Solid deck-building and theory-crafting are key to any good card game, and Dark Table offers layers of strategy. You start your deck with one of the many leaders, each with unique abilities and health totals. Leaders come in three types, each with a different path to victory:
Knowledge: Bank unspent knowledge each turn to enrage your leader.
Bloodshed: Get kills in battle to enrage your leader.
Berserk: Take damage to reach a health threshold and enrage your leader.
Enraging your leader grants access to powerful end-game abilities that can quickly turn the tide and end the game.
Customization
In real-life card games, players often enjoy customizing their decks to express themselves. This typically involves purchasing themed card sleeves, distinctive dice, and stylish playmats. While other digital CCGs have failed in this area, Dark Table CCG intends to deliver. Customize almost everything to show off your style. Earn new avatars, titles, card backs, card borders, and 3D playmats through achievements and progression.
Accessibility & Depth
The game is designed to be simple to learn, but offers a high skill cap for players who want to dig deeper. This balance ensures that players of all types can get involved and have fun along the entirety of their journey.

I really like the 4 player dynamic in this game. It is pretty fun to be ganging up on someone just to turn the tables on someone else. There are lots of interesting ways to approach each battle and while the game was relatively easy to pick up on out of the gate, I can see hours of play in order to develop a unique strategy. I haven't even really gotten into the nuances of deck building. The only negative issues I have are that the games can take pretty long, so you need to be ready for that. I also would suggest some more interesting music. Overall, pretty fun game that I definitely recommend.
great game, lots of potential. most of the negative comments were from the closed alpha before matchmaking was put in and ai bots were included. there is no waiting for games . ive played a ton and really like it. im sure it will only continue to improve, the dev team is very active on the discord answering questions about features or problems/concerns.

Dark Table is really good. It seems to be updated regularly with new features. It has awesome cards and epic battles.
Solid and fun game. Hit this game up and leave some reviews so we can get more active players in here! Just to note from one of the “bad” reviews, it does not cost $100 to play. It’s free to play. My computer has been down for a bit but finally made it in to review. Developers are super active on their discord and they have made major improvements since the start of the alpha release. If you want to contribute to shaping this game, this is the one. They listen to the users and are quick to put in updates. Nice game mechanics and up to 4 player is a fresh change compared to old 2 player mechanics. The game has AI bots to play against, so you can always have a game or a mix of AI and players. Also to note, you care about not having AI art, they appear to be using an artist to design all their graphics now.
I am new to CCGs, and this was really easy to learn to get started. The visuals are really cool, and it looks like there is a lot more that can be learned and done in game. I just went through the tutorial and noticed things like spells and traits that I didn't really understand at first. I am looking forward to trying those now. So even for a beginner, this is a fun game, and it looks like it even has a lot of gameplay features for more advanced CCG players. There are tons of cards too and a really nice deck builder. I spent quite a bit of time just reading the card descriptions and checking out the artwork in that. Really cool!
The game is fun to play with many ways that you can customize your deck to fit your play-style. The game is best with friends, and challenging with bots. As of writing this it is still in early access and has a few problems here and there, with ui and instructions but with a few updates that could be easily fixed. Fun game can't wait to see more.
I like the concept, graphics are beautiful, but the boxes don't work- you have to click near the box to select that option, cant place cards on the table. No tutorial.
Bogged down by unclear rules, clunky interface, and a lack of polish. Matches feel slow and frustrating, and it never really captures the thrill of a card game.
Firstly, I am new to card games like this and I thought that the gameplay was very easy to learn and get a hold of while being intuitive and interesting. The tutorial was very helpful for showing you the ropes, but it ends up being on you to learn strategies and deck optimization which I like. Also, one of the main slelling points, the 4 player online, makes it a very chaotic and challenging experience. I like that I'm not hot with micro transactions 24/7 on a free to play so that's appreciated. However this game does require an epic games account so heads up on that. Overall, it's a unique and very fun experience that you can easily get into if you are a veteran card game player or not. Also it's free so I'd say try it out.
The devs listen to the community and update the game often. Works on the steam deck out of the box!
