So much pain but so much fun. DS2 is vastly different from DS1 in a lot of ways. Controls feel a little more clunky, leveling up ADP for better dodging/rolling, the hollow status effects just to name a few. Some may think that these add "artificial" difficulty but I thought the game gave you more than enough to conquer the areas and bosses. As far as difficulty goes, I personally felt it was a little more difficult than DS1 but still fair. I will agree with others about enemy placement especially in NG+ and beyond, areas were pretty inflated with enemies and I thought most of the challenge was just trying to survive long enough to get to the boss or a bonfire. Of course practice makes perfect and learning the areas, the enemies, your build, and how to use your gems/estus you'll eventually adapt and overcome. The bosses were pretty neat. There were some forgettable ones and some of them become enemies later on in the game which was a bit annoying but for the most part they were all a good time. The lore behind them tied into the story very well. The DLC bosses were probably the best bosses in the game in my opinion (except the gank squad, you know what I'm talking about...) Overall, it's a good time. I would definitely recommend this if you're coming from DS1 or just looking for a unique souls-like experience. Just take it slow, learn the mechanics, and explore the world. I wouldn't consider myself very good at these types of games but I still had a blast, even if it took a toll on my sanity. You will not be disappointed. I do want end off on saying this game is online by default. From what I know there is no way to switch it to offline mode in the game unless you adjust settings in windows defender firewall. This is the only way I know so you can get achievements on Steam while being offline. Anyways go say hi to the Emerald Herald.

Puede que a muchos no les guste este titulo pero tiene muchas cosas buenas como su rejugabilidad, sistema de armas duales, etc, el juego tiene fallos claros pero la verdad lo disfruto, personalmente mi souls favorito, recomiendo probarlo antes de tirarle todo el hate, un juegazo que lo recomiendo al 100% darle una oportunidad

DS2 gets a lot of hate. Is it deserved? Sometimes. The Shrine of Amana was cancer and the gameplay was kind of mid. But I think what a lot of people forget is that it's still Dark Souls and if you like Dark Souls play DS2. I personally love the Dark Souls games and that was no different with this game. So if you enjoy the genre, play this game.
