Very odd. But still worth a try... I guess?
Fantastic aesthetic, writing, simple and fun gameplay. Enough quirks and character to make it unique and worth seeking.
This is a one-of-a-kind roleplaying game. There are times when you have no choice but to fight, but the times when you can act to avoid fights or alter the battle before it starts are really amusing. There are times when you're rewarded for playing the game like a game and there are times when you're rewarded for taking matters seriously. I don't expect that this game warrants more than one playthrough, but it's a fun story with fun characters and elements that take advantage of and sometimes rewards individual curiosity. I wish beyond reasonable hope that another game with the kind of thoughtful design this exhibits will be made.
It was good.
A well-written oldschool adventure with some degree of RPG elements. The visual style is great and very pleasant. A little bit too short, but doesn`t end too abruptly. Got several chuckles out of me. The characters are believable. One of the better steam games, definetely happy I`ve bought and beaten it.
- Not as good as expected, rating 72/100
Fail riddle quest, get option to ask for one more chance, get extra riddle, number between 0 and 5, guess wrong, get laughed at, get option to kill riddlers. Get loot and feel much better.
The Pros

Beautifully written. If you're a fan of Lovecraftian horror, you'll adore this game.
Gorgeous art. It's obvious that a lot of love went into this project.
Combat mechanics are fun and easy to learn.
The scavenging/crafting system is unique and interesting.
Something about this game just stirs up a really warm nostalgic feeling. Maybe it's the art style? Maybe it's the music? Who knows.

The Cons

The endgame feels really rushed, which is a huge shame considering how good the game is up until the final chapter. The final fights are really easy compared to what comes before.
While each item you have only has X amount of uses, this resets each chapter, so by the endgame you barely have to put any thought into what you should use vs. what you should save for later, which is frustrating considering this is a big part of the fun of the game.
All in all, I really enjoyed this game, and would rate it a solid 7.5/10.
Very fun and simple! I just started using Steam this year cause I got a new tablet and this is the only game out of ten or so that I tried and I enjoyed. Tablet games need to have simple controls to enjoy and this is so far is the most fun I've had.
