It does goes on sale sometimes, so you can buy on discount or in the bundle. In the previous game the devs started to care a great deal about animations so they're still quite good. Another one of Blue Tea's best games. If you're playing the series back-to-back you might notice highly similar puzzles to the previous three games, but it's not enough to discredit the good experience. The release order of Dark Parables is: Curse of Briar Rose The Exiled Prince Rise of the Snow Queen The Red Riding Hood Sisters The Final Cinderella Jack and the Sky Kingdom Ballad of Rapunzel The Little Mermaid and the Purple Tide Queen of Sands Goldilocks and the Fallen Star Swan Princess and the Dire Tree The Thief and the Tinderbox Requiem for the Forgotten Shadow Return of the Salt Princess The Match Girl’s Lost Paradise Portrait of the Stained Princess
This is Dark Parables #6, which is again a bit of an incoherent mishmash of various fairy tales. It's not quite as bad as The Final Cinderella, but I still found the story quite nonsensical. Unfortunately, too, they've decided to change the gameplay a bit: hidden-fragment scenes may now include "hidden" hidden-fragments, which require you to click on an unrelated item to reveal them, e.g. opening a drawer or moving aside a curtain. This is annoying because it means you have to click randomly on other objects in order to find the necessary fragments. It's unsatisfying. Still, if you enjoyed previous entries in the series, and are, you will likely enjoy this one, too.
I've always enjoyed the twist Blue Tea adds to the classic tales. It's a great way to enjoy the stories you know from old times in a new way, while still passing the time. The art is beautiful and the music is a great company, making it an enjoyable game to pass the time.
Fairly average, which is not bad when speaking of FrOGs in general, but a tad disappointing when it comes to this series.
Dark Parables is one of the BEST HOP game series I have run across and by far one of the most fun. I own almost the entire collection to date and would love to continue adding to my library. Buy the bundle or when they're on sale and you will literally have HOURS of fun. Each of these games takes me roughly 6 hours. Well worth it!
This game is really good, unfortunately for me i missed one of the parables
初中玩的老游戏了,那时候的盗版甚至有汉化hhhh 很休闲的游戏,难度也不高
I love this series and this story reminded me all the reasons why - the creative, fantasy storytelling that intertwines legends and provides unexpected plot twists. The backgrounds are absolutely stunning and it's a shame to spend so little time in some scenes! I love the variety of hidden object scenes. I admit to skipping a couple of puzzles later in the game as my tired brain wanted to enjoy the game rather than be frustrated. The bonus chapter provided great fairytale context - even adding in more characters. Loved it, recommend it, definitely getting the next one to play through!
map is not accurate but game is good itself
Pretty disappointingly forgettable in the grand scheme of the overall series. I think I actually missed playing this one as a kid, and my experience playing the following game wasn't impacted in the slightest. The character designs and HOPs themselves were nice, and I really liked the new characters introduced, but there were a lot of clumsy additions that made the game not quite as fun. I also found the presence of Rapunzel to be extremely clunky and jarring, even as a teaser for the next game. I wish there was a neutral review button, but since there isn't, I'd still say I lean positive on this one.
