Dark Parables: Jack and the Sky Kingdom Collector's Edition

I love this series and this story reminded me all the reasons why - the creative, fantasy storytelling that intertwines legends and provides unexpected plot twists. The backgrounds are absolutely stunning and it's a shame to spend so little time in some scenes! I love the variety of hidden object scenes. I admit to skipping a couple of puzzles later in the game as my tired brain wanted to enjoy the game rather than be frustrated. The bonus chapter provided great fairytale context - even adding in more characters. Loved it, recommend it, definitely getting the next one to play through!

Pretty disappointingly forgettable in the grand scheme of the overall series. I think I actually missed playing this one as a kid, and my experience playing the following game wasn't impacted in the slightest. The character designs and HOPs themselves were nice, and I really liked the new characters introduced, but there were a lot of clumsy additions that made the game not quite as fun. I also found the presence of Rapunzel to be extremely clunky and jarring, even as a teaser for the next game. I wish there was a neutral review button, but since there isn't, I'd still say I lean positive on this one.

This is my favorite game series of all time. They always have a clear and clever plot intertwining fairytales, the voice acting is on point, and the art is beautiful.

Ich hab für dieses Spiel wirklich Ewigkeiten gebraucht. Nicht weil es schwer war. Nicht weil es knifflig war. Sondern weil es mich einfach so wenig gefesselt hat. Ich kann gar nicht so genau sagen was anders war als die letzten Teile, das meiste ist ziemlich gleich geblieben und vielleicht ist das das Problem. Ich mag die Märchenthematik sehr, genau deshalb habe ich die Reihe angefangen. Ich mag dass die Märchen ineinander überlappen. Ich mag dass ältere Teile der Story aufgegriffen werden. Ich mag dass auch hier jedes Teil schön gestaltet ist. Ich mag nicht wie einfach und geradlinig es gemacht ist. Die Rätsel sind unterschiedlich, aber allesamt nicht schwer. Selbst im Hardmode ist es leicht durchzuspielen. Ich mag nicht, dass die Wimmelbilder hauptsächlich aus "such die Teile dieses einen Gegenstands" bestehen. Ich habe auch viele Hintergründe und das Aussehen der Gegenstände (im Gegensatz zu älteren Teilen) als sehr kitschig und übertrieben empfunden.. es fehlt die Magie, der schmale Grad der es toll macht. Ich bin erleichtert dass der Teil endlich geschafft wurde, denn ich warte schon auf Rapunzel und ihre Geschichte.

Dark Parables is one of the BEST HOP game series I have run across and by far one of the most fun. I own almost the entire collection to date and would love to continue adding to my library. Buy the bundle or when they're on sale and you will literally have HOURS of fun. Each of these games takes me roughly 6 hours. Well worth it!

Such a peak game, I played this as a kid and I couldn't find it for years. Thankfully I found it on my ancient laptop and decided to buy it again :)) (Amazing music, beautiful art, but honestly the animations were kinda corny but its ok :'))

Sou completamente VICIADA e APAIXONADA em toda a série Dark Parables. A história é muito bem feita e pensada. Divertida de jogar. Essa coleção é simplesmente perfeita.

A good amount of levels and good puzzles.
