Someone's low budget attempt to mash together God of War, Dark Souls and The Witcher. Unfortunately, the controls are a mess, it's floaty and buggy and your button mashing will result in you floating all over the place and clipping through things. There's a bunch of different weapons but they all function the same and hit detection and movement are so poor that you'll just be swinging wildly anyway. I got as far as a boss fight against a demon who fell through the floor at 90%. That felt like as good a place to call it quits as any. Despite the "Mavi Game Studios", this is the same developer who did Story of the Olivia which was also a buggy mess made in the same game engine. The dev says he has pages of story for the game and I believe him -- you can tell that someone was trying to tell some sort of story -- but without a functional framework to experience it in, no can actually learn what the story was.
this game is an achievement, it is so profoundly hard to enjoy that it makes everything else in the world marginally better in comparison, this game has to be seen to be believed but preferably from a distance

Despite popular belief, Dark Days: Devil Hunt is an amazing piece of pure art. The story is a true masterpiece that could rival the likes of Roller Coaster Tycoon World and Redfall. The game is heavily inspired by the Fromsoft line of games and they really paid tributes to those stories and worlds. The gameplay is amazing, the controls are excellent, the combat is splendid, and the leveling system is the best I've seen. I absolutely adored how they made each and every enemy virtually invincible to the player, making the intro sequence so good, I had to quit. Each enemies design is exquisite and unique, like the goblin with the sword, the goblin with the hammer, and of course, the Golem. Each one of these three have a distinct moveset and purpose. The spell system is amazing, each spell making a unique event occur. I personally think that the controls for the game are amazing as well, like using the numbers on the keyboard for spells. The world building is great in this game as well. In the intro sequence we see our town, a lovely fishing village that gets attacked by a dragon, before the dragon you can see the waves crashing like literal towers, City Skylines style. The environments have fresh and clean looks, it's very easy on the eyes. The graphics are amazing, at least in the main menu. I can reach even 15+ frames on a relatively high end PC on the lowest possible settings, the game is amazingly optimized. The enemies look absolutely amazing along with the high end environments that accompany them. This is truly a step in the right direction for graphics everywhere in gaming, even AAA devs need to start implementing the techniques shown here. In conclusion, Dark Days: Devil Hunt is truly an amazing game worth it's price. The story is the best I've seen in recent years, the gameplay is amazing, the world building is terrific, the graphics are absolutely outstanding. So go save your son Harry boys, and get this game.

Are you looking for a game with cutting edge graphics? An emotional, heartfelt story? Next-gen gameplay? Are you looking for hours upon hours of enjoyment? If your answer to these questions is no, then look no further than Dark Days : Devil Hunt! This mess will have you certain that you could have made a better game. Dark Days : Devil Hunt can be enjoyed at 4 frames per second, unless you are willing to bump your resolution down to 600x400. The story of finding your lost son is divided into chapters, and there is one chapter available to play, where you do not look for your son. Instead, you will, at times, be playing as a beloved character known as Necromancer Robert, whom I am sure was used as a template for writing the main character of the Witcher games and books. The gameplay is a strong aspect, it consists of walking forward and pressing left mouse button every now and then, and there is even a couple of minutes of combat. You will be able to enjoy this for a long time, as the game time rivals that of other widely successful titles. It took me around 75 minutes to beat. Dark Days : Devil Hunt is a magical experience that I think no one should have to endure, but if you think you have the strength to do it, I encourage you to take on the challenge! I rate this game 1 / 10.
