Let's not screw around here. You're here because you want to play Perfect Dark. You're reading the reviews to tell you if it's Perfect Dark. If "Perfect Dark" means character customization, a wide weapon variety, and kickass music, then yes. If it means more than Deathmatch, TDM, CTF, Oddball, and King Of The Hill, then no. If it means playing against badass Darksim-smart bots, then not yet. If it means a splitscreen multiplayer fragfest with 4 players and 7 bots all throwing remote mines at each other, then yes. The game is currently in the midst of getting content updates that, as the time of this review, includes new maps and gameplay modes. As it stands, there's enough here to make it worth your 10 bucks.

No single-player No online play No raytracing No ultra wide-screen support Absolutely perfect.

Luckily there's bots because I don't have many friends. BUT it is super fun to play w/friends I assume.

Steam had the gall to ask me if this game was relevant. This is the most relevant thing to happen to my life in years.

[h1]おい○○!　××ん家でゴール○ン○イやろうぜ!!　コントローラー持って××ん家集合な!![/h1] 昔懐かしいどこぞの64時代を思い出させるようなFPSゲームです。　ゲームパッド推奨。 さて、このゲーム以下のところが実に64時代っぽく仕上がっております。 ・キャラモデルのカクカクポリゴン具合 →顔がめっちゃ角ばってます。　ヤベえ級に。 ・全体的に丁寧に合わせにくい照準(アナログなんだけどかなり急に照準が動く) →狙いにくいけどちゃんとヘッドショットの仕様はあります。 ・[b]画質設定[/b] →まさかのコンソールとエミュレータという二択が選べます。 　コンソールだと画面全体にぼやけが入り、 　エミュレータだとぼやけが消えてくっきり見えます。 [spoiler]ぼやけが結構激しいのでエミュ推奨です[/spoiler] ゲーム性は…本当にシンプルな体力を削り合う系のFPSなので特に言うことはなし。 一応ゲーム説明をば。 ・デスマッチ いつもの。 プレイヤー4人とBOT7人で対戦可能? ・チームデスマッチ いつものその２。 プレイヤー4人とBOT7人で対戦可能? ・ホールドユアデス アイテムを持っている間制限時間が進むのでそれをゼロにしたプレイヤーの勝ち。 アイテムを持っている時は攻撃は出来ないので迎撃の際は手放す必要あり(武器切り替えボタン)。 ・キャプチャーザフロッピー キャプチャーザフラッグ。 BOTが微妙に仕事しないことあり。 気をつけてほしいのはこの作品は[b]ローカルマルチプレイ専用[/b]ということ。 ネット対戦は出来ません。　どうしてもやりたいならParsecなどの導入が必須となります。 ついでに[b]マウス・キーボードでの操作はほぼ受け付けません![/b] [strike]「俺だけマウス・キーボードで無双するわ」とかそういう汚い真似は出来ないようです。[/strike] 地味にPCで画面分割で対戦が出来るFPSはこれとScreenshotくらいだと思うので貴重といえば貴重。 あとは設定がちょっと大変だけどシリアスサムでも画面分割で遊べますね。 さあ君もお家に友達を呼んで同じモニターを見つめて対戦していたあの頃に帰ろう。

A spot-on N64-style local multiplayer shooter. Get some controllers plugged in and have some fun with your friends!

Fun game. But really could benefit from a Campaign and Online Multiplayer.

Fun throwback to Perfect dark/ Goldeneye multiplayer! Seems to be more content on the way as well.
