About

Dark Age Asunder is an action rogue-lite bullet heaven where you battle through endless waves of monsters while rebuilding a fallen kingdom. Choose your hero, unlock powerful abilities, gather resources, and restore what was lost - one run at a time.
The world lies in ruins. An evil King and his dark Wizard have razed villages and unleashed relentless monsters upon the land. It’s up to a group of heroes to reclaim the realm by fighting back, rebuilding settlements, and growing strong enough to dethrone the tyrant.
Dark Age Asunder is a rogue-lite bullet heaven game. Your character will automatically attack in the direction they are facing. Each character has a different playstyle, allowing you to choose one that fits your preference.
As you go through each level, a different type of enemy will spawn each minute. Enemies drop EXP, or potions with temporary effects. When you collect enough EXP, you can select one of three upgrades to give your character additional abilities or to strengthen their stats for this run only.
Stand within the bounds of a Resource Discovery to claim them. The resources available to capture are Wood, Iron, Mana, and Gold. Every minute that passes, you receive resources for each Iron Mine, Gold Mine, and Mana Well Resource Discovery you have claimed. Wood is a finite resource and can only be obtained once per Resource Discovery. These resources can be used to build Structures that will help you on your journey.
After finishing or dying during a level, you have the ability to Upgrade your character’s stats permanently in the shop using Gold you have collected while playing.

Reviews
It has the bare bones basics. enough to call it a game. Way over priced. It needs A LOT of work. It could be great though so long as the devs don't stop improving....just about everything.
*Edit: On top of some grammatical fixes in my review because it read like I was a little drunk and ironically enough, I'm a couple of fingers of whiskey into my corrections... But I wanted to emphasize that the game has been receiving a constant stream of updates and it looks and plays way better that it did at launch. Some extra visual flourishes have been added that make the visuals pop, smoother scrolling on top of that. There are a host of quality of life additions that have immensely improved the game play. It's a very small team that developed this but they're still working hard on this game, taking feedback and are still trying to deliver the best experience they can, personally, I feel that it shows. Seriously, I liked it at launch but now it's a way better, smoother and improved experience. So I hope they keep at it. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The thing I like about this game is that it is easy to pick up and play. This is surprisingly refreshing in a world of games where even tutorials will take hours before you can actually get to the meat. How to describe this game: Your character (3 to choose from) has an auto- attack which you guide through 3 different large play areas and then a final last boss area unlocked after you beat those. It's comparable to a bullet hell as you encounter mobs of enemies that increase in volume then eventually change to stronger enemies but your character also becomes more powerful or if lucky, super- formidable. There a few ways you can upgrade your character, the main one is by activating gold mines which provide you X amount of gold every minute depending on how many you gold mines you find. If you die or complete the level you can use the gold in an upgrade screen which has a variety of stats you can buy with the gold, which carry through (if you choose) to subsequent playthroughs. The other way is through the game play map where you gather materials on the map (just like the gold mines) like iron and wood ect... Which you then use to build certain structures, like a settlement which provides a villager that will allow you to build other features like an herbalist (more health), training center (more speed) or an alchemist (which allows you to receive new abilities during level ups). Level ups are gained by destroying enemies and gathering their gems which ranges from stronger attacks, magical attacks, or additional Area of Effect bonuses to name a few. The difference is that you have a permanent static upgrade system you buy with the gold but there is a ceiling. The other stats can only be obtained by structures and level ups that improve your abilities beyond the permanent upgrades while in the game play area. You can reset your permanent upgrades for a more difficult challenge if you'd like. There is actually an achievement from beating a level without permanent stat upgrades, which is actually quite difficult but achievable if you strategize. There's a nice amount of content and it is surprisingly, a very addictive game. Depending on how you play, the upgrades you pick or the character you choose, there's a good variety of play styles and strategies to take advantage of... If you're observant. It's a hand drawn art style with some surprisingly cool visual effects like when you use an ice attack it encases an enemy in a block of ice which looks even cooler on bigger enemies, there's also a satisfying klink and shatter sound (the sound effects are pretty good). Also little touches like the lighting on the embers of destroyed settlements during the nighttime cycle. I also really like the smoke particle effects. The music is pretty good and carries the tone of the game and environments... Though I want to really stress how amazing the music is in the second level, Mount Plight. That is an EPIC track! I'd say this is a very solid first entry in what I hope will be of many more games from Plutonium powered. It is fun, easy to pick- up and has a multitude of secrets to discover.
thank you david
Best of its kind. I love the base building aspect with the resource system, it works very well and gives you something to do other than slaying enemies. The combat is smooth, the upgrades are fun and super satisfying. But what i think is the most charming thing about this game is the artwork, It's got a unique medieval tone, great atmosphere, its just very cool and well done. If you don't mind getting addicted to a new game, please go play this, you won't regret it.
Fun game with a stand out mechanic. I have some feed back however, Please allow players to decide when to move the cut scene forward. I missed dialoge because it moved on too fast. Fix the Fps issues. 10fps around 5min in to a game is not good. Giving it a tentative Reccomend as artwork is nice and so is the unique mechanic. Please just fix the fps.
Slash...PEW PEW...ZOT ZAP ZOT... Kill stuff lots. Mandatory shot of beer. Repeat!
game
