Danger Ramps

With oversensitive controls and a limited amount of lives, this precision game is only recommended at a heavy discount. There is only one mode, and you are tossed directly into it when you select new game from the main menu. Your goal is to collect all black stars over multiple stages. There are also gold stars, although they are unimportant unless you want to gain an extra life. When you collect all of the stars on a stage, you will receive one life Stages are an obstacle course that includes ramps and holes. Since stages are placed up in the sky, each tiny miskate that causes you to drive off the edge of a platform will result in the loss of one of your lives. When you run out of lives, you'll have to start over from stage 1. It is possible to quit the game and continue from the same stage, but only if you still have at least one life. Sadly, controls are extremely sensitive. For example, if you drive forward and then veer sharply left, the car may flip over. You might flip it even if you press break too fast. It's so sensitive you might make a U-turn by barely moving. Because each crash takes one of your lives, you might not survive the first level. Stages are hard because there are situations where you must jump from platform to platform. You have no jump button or help; if you drive to fast, you'll drive over the edge on the next platform. But drive too slow, and you'll fall between the platforms or get stuck. Big tires offer no help because they won't save you from climbing out.

バギーっぽい車を操作して複雑な地形を進むゲーム。ステージ中の黒い星を全て集めると次のステージに移る（黄色い星は収集要素で必須ではない）。残機制で、地形から落ちたりひっくり返ったりすると残機を失う。全5機を失うとゲームオーバー。ステージ選択等はなく、全ステージを通しでクリアする必要がある（一時中断は可能）。 車体がとにかく軽く、ちょっとした段差で浮き上がってひっくり返る。また4輪駆動ではないため挙動も妙な感じで慣れにくい（前進は前輪、後退は後輪で動いてそう）。地面は摩擦も小さく、坂道ではアクセルを踏まずともタイヤが滑り落ちていく。タイヤ自体の動きにも妙なブレがあり、ハンドルを切らずに直進しても勝手に進路が曲がる。これらの要素に凶悪なステージ構成が加わり高難易度アクションと化している。 完全に車体が止まらないとリスタートができない、妙なところでカメラワークが変化する等の若干不便な仕様はあるが、リスボーンが速くUIもシンプルでわかりやすいなど、快適な部分も多い。操作性の難を高難易度ゲーの要素として捉えられればとても楽しめると思う。ただ、アーケードゲームみたいなコンテニュー無し通しプレイ強要がきついので、せめてステージ選択くらいは欲しかった……。
