Daniela's a bad ass cop with don't take no crap from nobody. She's gonna stop the terrorists all by herself. It's a fantastic remake of a 1990's stealth action game. It's fun and challenging. It's in the same vein as the older Metal Gear and Metal Gear Solid games. Here's my video about it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sf7rQMHKt70
"DanCop - Daniela on Duty" is a somewhat poorly concieved (and equally poorly recieved) puzzle game that looks like it should be some kind of retro shooter, but isn't. Instead you just move left and right with careful timing to avoid hostile NPCs and sometimes run into an arrow that gives you some vertical movement. This rather poor and uninteresting mobile app tier game concept is married to some godawful pixel textured low poly assets and a frankly hideous CRT filter slapped on top to try, I don't know, distract from the bad graphics by making the bad graphics worse. No wonder this was a flop. This features really godawful, lazy pixelcrap "art" slathered over low poly models, instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating contemporary 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks bad because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. Games like Minecraft and Stardew Valley succeeded despite the bad graphics, not because of them. It's free... now, but it wasn't before. It's a nice gesture for the game to be given away for free, but it also tells us that the game wasn't good enough to succeed as a paid product. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 2 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, that's nothing.
A very nice 16-bit retro stealth/action title, this game definitely deserves some more attention. Kill the enemy, knock em out, or work your way around them. Find keycards, pull switches, and find your way to the exit. It is basically a 2D game with a 3D perspective also known as 2.5D, but instead of being merely a style choice it actually adds onto the gameplay as well. There are quite few stages to complete becoming increasingly more challenging. There is a definite puzzle element to your strategies in order to complete the stages, but if you fail to survive you will instantly respawn to the beginning without having to go through all kinds of screens or menus which keeps the pace going. Its pretty good.

It's a charming game in ints own way, but I feel I need to point out that this is a PUZZLE game. What you don't really see on the screenshots and videos is that you only have horizontal freedom of movement, vertical one must be obtained by walking through arrows during which the character is uncontrollable till hitting a wall.

Free game, thanks to https://www.youtube.com/@TK2236
There's some amount of conceptual interest to DanCop, but the gameplay simultaneously feels too simple and too difficult to really hook me in.
