At 80 cents the "game", it will cost you 0.016 cents for a single achievement. Consult the Guides section to know how to get them all quickly and be done with it. However, I can't recommend a game that's not even a game.

Daily Run is a small, minimalist platformer developed and published by PepoLab that embraces simplicity to an almost extreme degree. Rather than aiming to impress with complex mechanics, elaborate level design, or narrative depth, the game positions itself as a lightweight experience centered on basic movement, timing, and repetition. From the outset, it feels intentionally modest, offering a stripped-down take on the platforming genre that prioritizes ease of access and quick play sessions over long-term progression or challenge escalation. This design philosophy defines the entire experience and makes Daily Run feel more like a casual diversion or experimental project than a fully fleshed-out platforming adventure. The gameplay revolves around guiding a small character through a sequence of short, linear levels filled primarily with spikes and simple obstacles. Controls are straightforward and responsive, focusing on jumping and movement precision rather than advanced techniques or layered mechanics. Each level can be completed at the player’s preferred pace, whether that means carefully inching forward to avoid hazards or attempting to clear stages quickly for personal satisfaction. There is little pressure imposed by the game itself, as failure carries minimal consequence and retries are immediate. This forgiving structure makes Daily Run approachable even for players with limited experience in platformers, but it also means that the challenge rarely intensifies beyond basic obstacle avoidance. One of the most unusual aspects of Daily Run is its staggering number of Steam achievements, which has become one of the game’s most talked-about features. With thousands of achievements available, the title has clearly leaned into appeal for achievement hunters and completionists. However, many of these achievements are unlocked with minimal effort and do not necessarily correspond to meaningful accomplishments or skill milestones. For some players, this abundance creates a strange sense of satisfaction, as achievements constantly pop up during play or even through menu interactions. For others, it feels more like artificial padding than a rewarding system, highlighting a divide between players who enjoy collecting badges and those who value achievements as indicators of mastery or progression. Visually, Daily Run adopts a simple, retro-inspired pixel art style that reinforces its minimalist tone. The environments are uncluttered and functional, designed to clearly communicate hazards and safe paths rather than immerse players in detailed worlds. This clarity serves the gameplay well, as it ensures that obstacles are easy to read and reactions feel fair. However, the lack of visual variety across levels can make the experience feel repetitive over time, especially during longer play sessions. The audio design follows a similar philosophy, remaining understated and unobtrusive, supporting the gameplay without drawing attention to itself or contributing much atmosphere. As players progress through the game’s limited set of levels, it becomes clear that Daily Run does not aim to evolve or surprise. New mechanics are rarely introduced, and the core loop remains consistent from start to finish. This consistency can be comforting for players who want a predictable, low-effort experience, but it may disappoint those expecting the game to gradually build complexity or introduce fresh ideas. The absence of narrative context, character development, or thematic progression further reinforces the sense that this is a deliberately small experience, focused solely on moment-to-moment movement. Overall, Daily Run is best understood as a niche, casual platformer that knows its limitations and does little to push beyond them. It offers a relaxed, accessible experience built around basic platforming fundamentals, with its massive achievement count serving as its most distinctive — and controversial — feature. Players seeking depth, challenge, or innovation will likely find the game lacking, while those who enjoy short, uncomplicated platforming sessions or achievement collection may find it mildly entertaining. As a product of indie experimentation, Daily Run stands as a reminder that not every game on Steam aims to be ambitious; some exist simply to offer a brief, uncomplicated run through a handful of obstacles, and for a certain audience, that can be enough. Rating: 5/10
Daily Run is a small casual platformer that focuses on simple controls, short levels, and quick gameplay. The idea is straightforward: run through each stage, avoid spikes, and try to finish as quickly as possible. It is not a complicated game, but it is clearly designed to be something you can pick up and play without much effort. The biggest positive about Daily Run is how easy it is to understand. The controls are basic, the levels are short, and there is no unnecessary complexity. You can jump in immediately and start playing. For people who enjoy simple platformers, this can make it a relaxing little game to spend a short amount of time with. The level design has some decent ideas. The game gives you the option to go fast and chase better times or take things slowly and carefully. Some levels are easy, while others require more accurate movement and timing. This gives a small amount of challenge without making the game overly difficult. The achievement system is a major part of the experience. With 5,000 Steam achievements, it is clearly aimed partly at achievement collectors. For those players, it offers a quick way to increase their achievement numbers. However, the achievements do not really add new gameplay and are more of an extra reward than a reason to play. The biggest weakness is that the game feels very basic. The platforming works, but there is not much variety in the mechanics. There are no interesting abilities, major changes between levels, or deeper systems that keep the game fresh. After playing for a while, you have basically seen everything it has to offer. The presentation is also quite simple. The visuals are fine for a small indie project, but they are not something that will stand out. The game relies almost completely on its short platforming challenges rather than its story, graphics, or extra features. Another issue is replay value. Once you finish the 24 levels, there is not much left to do unless you want to replay stages for better times or collect everything. It is more of a quick completion game than something you will keep coming back to. Overall, Daily Run is a decent little platformer that delivers a simple experience. It is easy to play, has some enjoyable short levels, and achievement hunters may get some value from it. However, the limited gameplay variety and lack of depth stop it from being more than an average indie game. Rating: 5.5/10
