Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.43/day in the week to Aug 13 → 15.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
You are a member of Task Force Dagger, an elite international special forces unit. Your missions take you across the globe—through frozen coasts, dense jungles, and war-torn cities. In Dagger Directive, tactical freedom is everything: pick your loadout, choose the time of day, and decide whether to strike hard and fast or move like a ghost.
Every mission is yours to shape.
Fight across three full campaigns, each set in a distinct region with its own atmosphere, enemies, and tactical challenges. Disrupt an eco-terrorist operation in the frigid Bering Sea. Battle organized crime across the volatile South Pacific. Crush an extremist uprising in Eastern Europe.
Each mission offers a different tactical sandbox, with objectives you can approach from multiple angles.
Gear up from a robust arsenal of 25+ weapons, each customizable with a wide range of attachments. Whether you're breaching doors with an underbarrel shotgun, clearing angles with suppressed SMGs, or picking off targets at extreme range, the armory has you covered. Supplement your firepower with drones, tripwires, grenades, and mines, and experiment with combinations that suit your style.
Dagger Directive blends modern game feel with grounded mechanics. Every bullet and piece of shrapnel has weight, velocity, and trajectory—simulated in real time. Adjust your scope for distance, lead moving targets, and respect the chaos of ricochets. Even grenades scatter deadly fragments that obey real physics.
This isn’t just spray and pray—it’s precision under pressure.
Each mission takes place in a large open area with multiple entry points, dense foliage, and tactical verticality. Control the environment by shooting out lights, hiding in tall grass, or stalking through shadows. Select the time of day before each op—just don’t forget your NVGs if you’re going in after dark.
The battlefield is a tool, if you know how to use it.
The Early Access version of Dagger Directive is already packed with depth and variety:
A 15-mission campaign that spans all three global theaters, offering replayability through multiple tactical approaches.
Full co-op multiplayer, so you and your squad can coordinate, flank, and execute missions together.
Over 25 weapons, dozens of attachments, and a wide variety of tactical gear—already giving you the tools to play your way.
A broad range of tactical equipment including deployable drones, anti-personnel mines, and multiple grenade types, adding layers of strategic options.
Post-launch development will expand both depth and customization:
A mission editor with full Steam Workshop support, allowing players to build and share their own operations.
An expanded tutorial system that dives deeper into advanced weapons, tools, and stealth mechanics.
A powerful Free Play Mode, where players can spawn enemies, allies, vehicles, and gear to experiment or create their own combat scenarios.
Modding support for weapons and gear, empowering the community to add entirely new content to the sandbox.

I would recommend Dagger Directive to anyone who has a passing interest in military shooters, and has at least 2 other friends willing to go in on the purchase with them. I do not recommend this game for strictly solo players. I would also highly recommend playing on the hard difficulty, as that is where the game feels like it pushes back on the player the way it should, on normal it feels like the game can be trivialized by certain equipment or strategies. A lot of indie devs making tactical shooters think that these games have to be super punishing in order to be done "right". Dagger Directive is a tactical shooter that never loses sight of the fact that it is a video game and a video game should be fun. The game features a generous revive system where dead players can be revived an infinite number of times, but it requires another player reaching their position physically. It does not make the game feel arcade, because it can only really be done in a fight if the person went down in a sensible spot. If they died while moving aggressively in the open they will likely have to wait until the fight is over, and depending on how well you can see the enemy position that could take 10 minutes or more in some cases. Long enough to incentivize them to be more careful next time, but not final where the rest of the team feels bad that they are now out for good, when missions can take upwards of an hour. The game produces excellent firefights with most fighting typically happening between 150-250 meters, and an enemy that uses liberal amounts of suppressive fire and are constantly advancing on the player, but at a very slow and staggered pace. They don't charge forward like lemmings but if you sit back and do nothing they will eventually overrun you and every time you peak they will be in slightly different positions. Their accuracy is dialed in just about perfect for 150+ meters, they will rarely hit on the first shot, so you will have a chance to realize you are coming under fire and react, but you'd better react fast, and don't leave your head up above cover for longer than it takes to squeeze off a few shots. Up close they are very accurate and fast on the trigger, you will be better off keeping your distance. Which makes analyzing the terrain around the target important since you will want to flank around rather than push directly in, and the terrain will often dictate which direction you flank in. This game has had me spending entire afternoons running missions with my buddies like we haven't done since we were kids, and the way it's designed I don't think you need to be a hard core mil-sim gamer to get hooked.

On one hand - this is a great game! After playing the Demo I felt like Dagger Directive really scratched that itch for some old Delta Force games which I've been itching to play again for a while. Everything from the graphics, mission structure and the UI really brought me back, I've spent over an hour in the demo having a blast in the only available mission and fell in love with the sandboxy approach allowing for oh so much freedom, as well as the equipment available. The AI didn't have the most accuracy, but they would still deliver an amount of suppressive fire that would have me sh*t myself and almost duck for cover IRL, but in addition to that they would try and flank you, throw smokes to mask their approach, and you could even hear them actually giving callouts to your whereabouts, very similar to The Last of Us 2. Sometimes they would lose you as well, and you could see them advance in the direction you were shooting from, allowing you to even sneak past them. I was impressed, and needless to say - I bought the game right away. Right away I noticed the available roaster of different weapons and tools has been at least doubled, from different rifles, rocket launchers, different sights, explosives, even recon and explosive drones. My mind instantly went on to imagine the possibilities, especially in COOP (which is available btw). I started to imagine this can be played so cinematically, like a cool CoD (the old ones) campaign or Ghost Recon games where you're synchronising with your friend to take out a patrol at the same time and sh*t... I was ready... So what the fu*k went wrong? I started the very 1st mission, and feeling a little too sure of myself I chose Hard difficulty. Instantly got my as*s handed to me. Okay, perhaps I bit off a little more than I could chew. I quickly went back and went down to Normal and try again. Do you think this helped? No, because these absolute terminator AI's are Gods among Gods, and you're just a filthy little man. Listen, I'm not joking, and I'm not exaggerating when I say these guys have done things to me that The Black Division in Tarkov would shake in their boots upon hearing. These absolute cu*ts cheated so much and so consistently it made my ex call me back randomly in the middle of the night and apologise. These absolute turds have absolutely no problem laying down in the grass, shoot at you through vegetation thicker than a*s of Belgium's Health Minister. Some even hid behind a wooden fence and fired through the tiniest gap in said fence like any other Tarkov sweatlord, and would literally bend their bullets to go over the 7 trees in the way, fly between the bark where the 2 branches meet and hit me in the face. No, seriously - they can hide so well I'm literally unable to locate them in a firefight, and these schmucks are using tracer rounds! But that's not even all of it either! Shooting through the smoke? Yes of course, right in the head too! These terminators are so snappy and aimbotty it's not even funny. They can straight up run sideways, spray a fully automatic rifle and dome you in the head through a tree from 200m. The only redeeming thing in this situation which saves me from throwing my chair is the fact it's at least not a double standard when it comes to scanning things, because I can also do that just fine. But wait, there's more bullsh*t - close combat is just as stupid. I could hide in a building and the AI on the outside would be SO ready for me to peek a door, he would often prefire before the 2 atoms of my elbow even appeared yet, resulting in instant death. Stupidly enough, in that situation I found more luck just jumping from left side to the right side and vice-versa because that allowed me to at least maybe get a shot at the guy if he happened to miss, which is not something I could do by just peeking my head carefully. By the time I finished the 1st mission I was exhausted more than I ever was going to the gym. Next day, mission 2 - I decide to stack all the favours my way and went all the way down to Easy, and deployed during the night for a change. The AI was literally braindead here. I went thorugh the entire mission, killing everybody and I've not had a single shot fired at me. I even got a knife kill. I started wondering if the AI was just bugged, so I tested it out. Stood underneath a lamppost, fired my gun to alert them, they're all looking my direction with flashlights, but nobody shoots at me. At some point I literally walked THROUGH a guy, and he still gave zero sh*ts. I shoved my face in the guy's barrel TWICE before he finally fired and at last - killed me instantly (as he should of course). I tried the same mission again, during the day, back on Normal difficulty. They're still reta*ded. They still ignored me, walked all around me like they all dropped their brains or their trigger fingers froze in the cold. Eventually they realised they're supposed to shoot me, but only because I walked up to a guy from the front, and it still took him good 5 seconds of straight up looking at me. For a test - I went back to the 1st mission on Normal again, and sure enough - absolute terminators doming me in an instant from a 100m, instantly identifying me and shooting before the neurons in my brain even realised there's people on the road. Restarted the same mission again on Easy - still absolute terminators. So it looks like the difficulty is more mission based than difficulty based? Why do we need to go from one extreme of an extreme, to another extreme? I realise you guys recently did some omega overhaul for the AI, but that ain't it. The NPC's in the Demo sure needed glasses, and maybe had an additional chromosome, but it's not fun when all the AI in your game go from little Timmy with a brain tumor playing a video game for the 1st time on a broken controller with his legs, only to ascend to a literal God because they happened to stumble upon a Crown of Karsus in the woods between the missions, apparently. Seriously, fix the AI. Some of the other things I'd love to see is maybe some AI companions as well? The ability to swap to them after I die, kind of like Arma? I'd also like to see the AI utilise frag grenades, instead of only ever throwing smokes. However maybe that happens later in the game, idk. Another thing, something that impressed me back in the day - how in Delta Force Black Hawk Down you would have Medevac arrive and deploy a Medic to drag your wounded teammate out the battlefield. Stuff was so cool to see, and this game feels kinda perfect for a feature like this. Genuinely, this is a great game, but the AI completely ruins it. I'll 100% change the review to positive when this gets fixed.
I played a bunch of the demo before picking up the full game at 1.0. This is a very solid retro tactical shooter that was inspired by the original Delta Force games on PC from the late 90s. I appreciate that there's no aim down sights but there's still the ability to use a variety of scopes. Missions can be very tense and difficult - it's easy to miss well-camouflaged enemies as you're moving through the map. It's not quite as finicky and specific as the Arma games, but definitely more tactical and throughtful than your average boomer shooter. I've found the AI tough but fair to play against. You're typically rewarded for engaging at range to thin out the guards in an area and then move in. Stealth is *possible*, but doing it solo is a massive risk. The closer you are to enemies, the more accurate they are, whereas at range, you tend do have a bit of time to fall back and reposition if you've been spotted and are under fire. I haven't tried online coop, but I could see that being very fun, where you have one player equipped for close and medium range combat and another player as fire support/overwatch. The mission designs are wide-ranging and engaging. The maps are large and varied. Really a lot to love here.
Needs work; A.I., QoL issues, etc. Most of what's here is awesome retro fun. Keep on eye on it.
AI can be aim botty at times but its still a blast. I've played worse games for $20
Game is garbage can't connect online and they can't connect to me. Would not recommend.
Stopped working, the controls are all messed up — I don’t know.
terrible multiplayer desync
