Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.43/day in the week to Aug 13 → 15.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
You are a member of Task Force Dagger, an elite international special forces unit. Your missions take you across the globe—through frozen coasts, dense jungles, and war-torn cities. In Dagger Directive, tactical freedom is everything: pick your loadout, choose the time of day, and decide whether to strike hard and fast or move like a ghost.
Every mission is yours to shape.
Fight across three full campaigns, each set in a distinct region with its own atmosphere, enemies, and tactical challenges. Disrupt an eco-terrorist operation in the frigid Bering Sea. Battle organized crime across the volatile South Pacific. Crush an extremist uprising in Eastern Europe.
Each mission offers a different tactical sandbox, with objectives you can approach from multiple angles.
Gear up from a robust arsenal of 25+ weapons, each customizable with a wide range of attachments. Whether you're breaching doors with an underbarrel shotgun, clearing angles with suppressed SMGs, or picking off targets at extreme range, the armory has you covered. Supplement your firepower with drones, tripwires, grenades, and mines, and experiment with combinations that suit your style.
Dagger Directive blends modern game feel with grounded mechanics. Every bullet and piece of shrapnel has weight, velocity, and trajectory—simulated in real time. Adjust your scope for distance, lead moving targets, and respect the chaos of ricochets. Even grenades scatter deadly fragments that obey real physics.
This isn’t just spray and pray—it’s precision under pressure.
Each mission takes place in a large open area with multiple entry points, dense foliage, and tactical verticality. Control the environment by shooting out lights, hiding in tall grass, or stalking through shadows. Select the time of day before each op—just don’t forget your NVGs if you’re going in after dark.
The battlefield is a tool, if you know how to use it.
The Early Access version of Dagger Directive is already packed with depth and variety:
A 15-mission campaign that spans all three global theaters, offering replayability through multiple tactical approaches.
Full co-op multiplayer, so you and your squad can coordinate, flank, and execute missions together.
Over 25 weapons, dozens of attachments, and a wide variety of tactical gear—already giving you the tools to play your way.
A broad range of tactical equipment including deployable drones, anti-personnel mines, and multiple grenade types, adding layers of strategic options.
Post-launch development will expand both depth and customization:
A mission editor with full Steam Workshop support, allowing players to build and share their own operations.
An expanded tutorial system that dives deeper into advanced weapons, tools, and stealth mechanics.
A powerful Free Play Mode, where players can spawn enemies, allies, vehicles, and gear to experiment or create their own combat scenarios.
Modding support for weapons and gear, empowering the community to add entirely new content to the sandbox.

the guns feel nice to shoot, the enemy is reasonably competent, the game is well executed overall. i feel that if the developers spent maybe some more attention on level design to populate the environments with more detail it would look great. also i think this game would benefit from having AI teammates, playing alone can be frustrating at times. all in all i get very strong original rainbow six/ghost recon/SOCOM vibes from this game.

Game has room for improvement. The AI is not amazing and there could be a bit more variety in how combat against the different factions plays out, but all in all, the game is fun. With a friend, its really fun. Its not a perfect game, but perfectly good and entertaining for its price point. Don't expect a mindblower. This game is supposed to cause Delta Force/Ghost Recon/Desert Storm nostalgia and its very competent at doing it. I think as long as this gets new scenarios or mission modifiers, I could play it for a long, long time. P.S. this game badly needs thermals. Maybe as a drone thing or a monocular you need to use like the binocs. Or with limited range for the NVGs.
The AI is just incredibly frustrating. You can shoot someone with a suppressed rifle and a bastard 100m behind you heard it and comes running and beams you through a bush. CQC is basically non-existent as the AI once again react and beam you instantly. I love the idea of this game, but really this AI just isn't is at least for me. Ground Branch, a game bundle with this one, doesn't have perfect AI, but I VASTLY prefer it to this
Very badass little tactical shooter! There are tons of weapons, attachments, and equipment to choose from. You can use classic and well-known weapons like the M16A2, M4A1, or M21, modernized variants like the M16A4, cutting edge developments like the M7 "spear" rifle (complete with a smart scope that can auto-zero for distance), soviet counterparts like the AKM, compatible NATO alternatives like the L85A2 or HK 416, or even lesser known experimental weapons like the OICW or G11, complete with their experimental features (such as the airburst setting for the OICW, or the hyperburstfire on the G11). You can pick an SMG to reduce your ammo weight to carry more utility equipment, a sniper rifle to make those long distance shots, a shotgun to dominate in close-range encounters, and even grenade launchers or anti-tank launchers for heavy firepower against stronger targets. As far as equipment goes, you have various types of grenades, various manually-detonated landmines (such as the SLAM and Claymore), multiple types of drones, satchel charges, and even chemlights. You're spoiled for choice, and you're allowed to carry whatever you want into battle. The missions are reasonably well built, and the AI that inhabit it are well configured and tuned. They respond to all the stimuli they should without being omnipotent. They can lay down some focus fire on your position from a good distance away, but don't nail you immediately, so even a firefight you lost manages to still be a firefight. The AI can see in a cone in front of them, but don't hear super well; they'll hear gunshots well, but the battlefield is a loud place, so they won't notice your footsteps until you're very close. This allows you to maneuver around them and trick them by distracting them. Close range gameplay and stealth gameplay both have many strengths, weaknesses, tradeoffs, and simple choices in this regard. Sometimes I fool the AI so hard I can run up behind them and get a knife kill! All projectiles are simulated using a simple ballistics system. This ballistics system models both the travel time of different types of bullets (45 ACP travels slower than 5.56), and the parabolic trajectory of the bullet and how your choice of sighting system must account for it. Every scope has a "zero" distance where the parabolic trajectory of the bullet aligns with the crosshair, but only some scopes let you adjust that zero distance, while others don't and instead give you bullet drop (or rise) guide markers to rely on. It's complex enough that you're making a choice both when you choose the weapon and when you decide to use it, yet simple enough you can figure some things out in the field and get up to speed quickly! It's also just enough detail to keep sniping gameplay consistently fresh, and not too much detail that becomes inscrutable. Sniping is fairly strong, but has these simple marksmanship challenges to keep it fresh. The game is reasonably well optimized. The graphics are simple, and the game runs fairly well on modern hardware. If you struggle, you can turn off features like the shadows or even the grass. (And grass is handled consciously by the game as well; if you have grass enabled, the AI can't easily see you through it and you can exploit it for stealth if you know what you're doing, whereas if the grass is disabled then the AI can see you through it). It's nice to play this game and experience many of the modern features I wanted out of a modern and well-balanced tactical shooter without major compromises in how the game is meant to be played compared with how I actually play it, which is not a promise many other tactical shooters make. Don't get me wrong, the game isn't trivial to run on every computer to the same extent that a real retro game is, but it feels as though it is reasonably competently optimized for what it is, and the parts where it might struggle a little are, for the most part, those parts where you do have modern features (like real-time shadows or decent models). The only issue is that the Poseidon ship where you pick missions, choose your loadout, and customize your character isn't quite as well optimized as the actual real missions. However, they have already rolled out a patch with some optimizations that address this specific area of the game, and while it's still not perfect, it's a lot better than it was before. On top of this, this is just the hub area of the game where you don't complete objectives or engage in combat, so the reduced performance is a bit annoying, but you're not in any danger or risk when it happens. The multiplayer in this game is pretty strong as well. Joining pubs is fun because this game supports joining a game in progress. If you join a mission in progress, you parachute into the mission from the sky and pick your loadout as you drop. You don't get much choice where you drop, and sometimes you're dropping into an enemy position, so it's a mad dash to pick a loadout from a list of them (you can make your own loadouts and save them to the list back on the Poseidon ship) and to shoot back at whoever's shooting at you so you can land safely. I wish I had a little more control over this drop process, or I at least got to pick my loadout before I started dropping, but I appreciate the chaos. If you or a teammate dies during a coop match, the dead player can be revived. This keeps tension in death and ties it to teamwork; you aren't tied to your teammates too hard, but if you stray far away from them to do something, you accept the risk that if you die, it takes a long time for you to get revived. And, if you die in a really dangerous area, it gets more tense and spooky as more players die trying to clear the area or rescue you. This tension compounds further if there is a time-sensitive objective in play (such as a convoy you are tasked with destroying before it traverses the map), as your death tasks your teammates with both upholding the objective and trying to rescue you to return the squad to full fighting capabilities. However, the fact that you can get revived and still contribute to the mission after you do means there is way less boredom or disappointment when you die than in other tactical shooters, yet it doesn't lose the tension because death or just the mere threat of it is still enough to shape your decision making. Though the game is in 1.0, I believe it will get a few extra features or polish updates over time. We already got a patch with some bug fixes and even a few additional optimizations. One feature I hope they add is some kind of ammo management tailored to shotguns. Shotguns are powerful, but each shotgun shell takes the same physical inventory space as a grenade does, due to limitations inherent to how it's designed. That's not enough ammo to use the shotgun consistently throughout a mission, so I end up deciding not to take a shotgun even though it is an effective weapon that I want to use. To get around this, I hope they add an item that helps me manage and carry more shotgun shells in way less space, such as a shotgun shell box, that way I can finally enjoy using this weapon type without running out of ammo for it partway through a mission (In fact, I have pondered using the modding system to do it myself!). As expansive as the weapon sandbox is, I also wouldn't mind a few extra official weapons; it'd be nice to have a pump action shotgun and a high caliber pistol such as a magnum revolver included as part of the official armory.
