outstanding. way better than roottrees. can't believe this isn't more well-known. looking forward to seeing what you do next!
A delightfully creative deduction game
I've been on a deduction game streak lately, hunting for creative deduction puzzles that really force you think outside the box. The Golden Idol games are the epitome of this. Daemon Masquerade isn't quite at that level, but it's closer than most of the other small games I've played. Like Golden Idol, there are supernatural elements at play. In addition to deducing the identities of the contestants, you must also infer what their "superpowers" are from a list of dozens. This, along with its creative and engaging story, really helps the deduction process feel new and exciting. The game has a slow start and a long "tutorial" section, so bear with it until you get to the actual Masquerade. Figuring out a contestant's power and how they're using it is very satisfying. While there were some puzzles I could live without (looking at you,
passport spot-the-difference puzzle that took me forever
), and there was a fair amount of reading, very little felt like filler. It was all interesting! Unexpected connections kept popping up throughout, and everything fit together nicely to tell a cohesive story. Overall, a strong recommend if you like creative deduction games.

Yeah so this is one of my favorite games ever now. Extremely engaging, narrative driven, amazing story, and great mechanics. Leaving no stone unturned is your best bet, and put on your detective beret because you will need it. Once the pieces fall into place its a huge aha and relief moment. Plus awesome graphics and smooth transitions. 10/10 wish I could experience it again.

This was an interesting deductive reasoning game. I really enjoyed playing .
好而且困难而且短
Amazing mystery game that truly challenges your skills of deduction!! Highly recommend for fans of puzzle solving and/or detective games.
I really wish steam gave an eh option because that's what I would give this. If you like mysteries and care little for world building outside of the scope of the mystery, then I'd recommend it. The actual mystery and puzzles are the highlight, and it does feel super rewarding to get things right. Other than that though it leaves a lot to be desired. Characters feel very flat, they are written more like archetypes rather than characters. Dialog is not great, if the character isn't horribly mean then it feels like they have no personality. Some times it feels like the mean characters are just cartoonishly mean for no reason? If you want good fleshed out characters, don't play this game.
puzzles are tedious not fun. one of the puzzles bugged and even though i found it it wouldnt accept the answer. i checked it online, i was correct, i tried to enter it again, still wouldnt accept it.
