D Series OFF ROAD Driving Simulation, developed by devotid and published by devotid Media, is an off-road driving title that places experimentation, customization, and player creativity at the center of its design. Rather than presenting a tightly curated career mode or cinematic racing experience, the game positions itself as a sandbox-style simulation where players are encouraged to explore vehicle behavior, terrain interaction, and self-made challenges at their own pace. From the outset, it becomes clear that D Series is aimed less at casual racing fans and more at players who enjoy mechanical tinkering, unconventional driving scenarios, and the freedom to shape their own off-road playground. The driving model in D Series leans toward simulation, emphasizing weight transfer, suspension behavior, and traction loss across dirt, mud, gravel, and uneven surfaces. Vehicles feel heavy and grounded, requiring deliberate throttle control and careful steering input to maintain momentum over rough terrain. The game offers a diverse lineup of vehicles, ranging from rally-style cars and trucks to rock crawlers, karts, and even monster trucks, each responding differently to terrain and setup changes. This variety encourages experimentation, as no single vehicle excels in every scenario, and mastering one often requires fine-tuning suspension, gearing, and other mechanical parameters. While the physics are not always perfectly consistent and can occasionally feel rough or unpredictable, they succeed in conveying the challenge and unpredictability inherent in off-road driving. One of the defining pillars of D Series OFF ROAD Driving Simulation is its in-depth track editor, which is treated not as a secondary feature but as a core component of the experience. With hundreds of objects available for placement, players can design everything from realistic rally stages and technical rock crawling courses to absurd stunt parks filled with jumps, ramps, and obstacles. This editor empowers players to craft personalized challenges that go far beyond the limitations of prebuilt content. The integration with Steam Workshop further amplifies this creative focus, allowing tracks, setups, and user-made content to be shared easily with the community, greatly extending the game’s longevity for those willing to explore player-created scenarios. Visually, the game reflects its indie roots with a presentation that prioritizes functionality over spectacle. Environments are serviceable and readable, but they lack the detail and polish found in higher-budget off-road simulators. Vehicles are modeled clearly enough to convey their mechanical purpose, though textures and lighting can feel dated. Despite this, the clarity of the visuals supports the simulation focus, ensuring that terrain features and obstacles are easy to read while driving. Sound design complements the experience reasonably well, with engine noise and terrain feedback helping reinforce the sense of vehicle weight and surface interaction, even if it does not strive for absolute realism. D Series also stands out for its flexible control options, supporting a range of input methods including gamepads and steering wheels. However, the experience can vary depending on hardware, with some players reporting inconsistent force feedback behavior or uneven tuning across different setups. This variability underscores the game’s experimental nature: it often rewards patience and adjustment rather than plug-and-play simplicity. For players who enjoy dialing in settings and gradually refining their control scheme, this can be part of the appeal; for others, it may become a point of frustration. Ultimately, D Series OFF ROAD Driving Simulation is best understood as a niche, enthusiast-driven project rather than a polished mainstream racing title. Its greatest strengths lie in its openness, vehicle variety, and powerful creation tools, which allow players to build and share unique off-road experiences that few other games attempt to support so directly. Its weaknesses—rough edges in physics consistency, dated visuals, and uneven presentation—are inseparable from its indie ambition. For players seeking a highly curated, visually impressive off-road racer, the game may feel lacking. For those who value freedom, experimentation, and the satisfaction of mastering difficult terrain or designing their own tracks, D Series offers a distinctive and rewarding sandbox that reflects the passion behind its design. Rating: 5/10
even worse then the rc one.
