CYBERDRIFTER

It's pretty good. No teleporting. This seems to be a hard feature to find actually. It feels like an indie game, but its cheap and not just a 5min tech demo, dead multiplayer arena, or empty open world. I wish the shield was a bit bigger. The enemies are mostly hovering spheres, triangles, etc which is somewhat less interesting than in other games. Soundtrack is fitting.

Looks cool but the controls feel really clunky... Not a smooth experience. Love the look and idea though.

The Movement is better now, but the snap-rotation confused me. Need REAL rotation with thumbstick! Grafik looks good; but the gameplay needs a easy-mode.

Final Edit (until something changes): Dev has had zero communication with me since I got the game, so until something changes, all I can say is save your money. I tried everything in the level I am stuck on and it all points to a bug that prevents any progression. Also, a bug before you even start playing where you have a 20% chance where you can get to the main lobby without the video feed being cut off. It sucks too, game is fun for what it has, but there's no going beyond a certain point which means it's a broken game. For what it's worth, this game has the potential to be fun. I like the aesthetics, music, and gameplay. It's a pretty different game than others and it gives the vibe of a certain movie franchise pretty well. However, in it's current state, I can't recommend people to play it even if it's on sale. Before I get into the why, the developer has been in pretty active communication to fix the bugs as I find them, but as of this writing, there are game breaking bugs and the dev hasn't spoken about them. Many of the minor bugs have fixed, plus optimizations where they are needed. However, these three bugs are major, and it makes me wonder why the game was taken out of early access. First, the game doesn't seem to work well with the Nvidia GPU. I had to use the motherboard GPU to play. After the point where the virtual headset is put on, the display breaks. Sound and control work, but can't see anything through the VR headset, though it works fine with the mirror on the desktop (valve index headset BTW). An argument was made that the latest driver was to blame, but I didn't use the 595 update. Plus, it seems others complained about the same issue so I know it's not just me. Just to be clear, this bug seems to have been around for a good while. Second, one of the minigames, though not important to the main game, doesn't function. As soon as I click to start, I am left in a void. Seems to me the path to start the minigame wasn't coded correctly so there is no path to start the game. There is a hint that it isn't completed yet, but in that case it would be better to block access to the minigame than risk the game locking up (not freeze, but stuck in limbo). Finally, the real game breaking bug, and it makes me think that even if this one is fixed, there will be similar ones down the road. The third level has no way of progressing after fighting the boss. All the enemies can be defeated, but then no doors open, no drops to have the door open, and the consoles refuse to unlock doors. I'm sure it's because certain enemies weren't done being programmed, as they stay still and can't be attacked. The battle music stays on which shows they need to be destroyed to move on. I will edit this review as fixes happen, and i may even turn it into a like. For now though, this game shouldn't have left early access if it's still this messy. Edit: Nearly two months later and no communication of any kind. I understand this is a solo project but some communication is still needed or there is bad faith.

Very Good Game, it is Tron in VR with cool cyberpunk musik. When you like the movie Tron just buy the Game you will love it. Ein tolles VR Spiel das die Tron Filme nahezu perfekt nach ahmt. Wenn Ihr die Tron Filme mögt kauft dieses Spiel Ihr werdet es lieben. Endlich kann man mit diesem VR Spiel im Tron Universum sein :-)
