Cyber Utopia is a first-person shooter, made in a pastiche, old-school style in the setting of cyber punk. Actions unfold in the distant future, when the technology developed to such an extent that people began to turn into cyborgs.

Cyber Utopia, developed by Coconut Tree Studio and published by Conglomerate 5, is a retro-inspired first-person shooter that attempts to channel the spirit of 1990s FPS design within a cyberpunk framework. Set in a dystopian future where humanity has blurred the line between flesh and machinery, the game casts players as Naomi, a protagonist suffering from memory loss who must fight through hostile environments to uncover fragments of her past. The premise suggests intrigue and mystery, but the experience places far greater emphasis on action than narrative complexity, positioning itself primarily as a straightforward, arcade-style shooter rather than a story-driven cyberpunk epic. Gameplay in Cyber Utopia is rooted in classic FPS fundamentals: navigating enclosed levels, collecting ammunition and health pickups, and eliminating waves of enemies with an assortment of weapons. The pacing is relatively direct, encouraging constant forward movement and engagement rather than tactical stealth or deep customization. Weapons vary in type and power, offering some diversity in combat approach, but the overall mechanics remain simple. Enemy AI tends to follow predictable patterns, and encounters often rely more on reflexes than strategy. This simplicity mirrors the design philosophy of early shooters, but it also exposes limitations when compared to more refined modern retro-FPS titles that incorporate advanced movement systems or layered combat dynamics. Visually, the game adopts a deliberately pixelated aesthetic reminiscent of early 3D era shooters. Textures are basic, environments are compact, and character models lean into low-detail stylization. This retro approach may appeal to players nostalgic for the era of early PC shooters, but it can also feel dated rather than intentionally stylized. The cyberpunk theme introduces neon lighting, metallic corridors, and robotic adversaries, yet the execution often lacks the atmospheric depth typically associated with the genre. The world-building remains minimal, serving more as a backdrop for combat than as an immersive setting rich with environmental storytelling. The structure of the campaign follows a relatively linear path, with levels connected through basic progression. Objectives are often simple and revolve around clearing areas or reaching designated endpoints. While this keeps the experience accessible, it also contributes to a sense of repetition over time. Without strong narrative interludes or evolving gameplay mechanics, the motivation to continue often rests solely on the desire to complete levels rather than uncover deeper plot developments. Difficulty can fluctuate unevenly, occasionally presenting spikes that feel abrupt rather than carefully calibrated. Audio design supports the futuristic setting with functional sound effects and a modest soundtrack that underscores combat scenarios. Gunfire and impact sounds provide adequate feedback, but the overall audio presentation does not stand out as a defining feature. The music aligns with the cyberpunk aesthetic but remains understated, reinforcing the action without creating a particularly memorable atmosphere. Reception has been mixed, reflecting the divide between players who appreciate its low-budget, nostalgic ambition and those who expect more polish or innovation. Some players enjoy it as a short, inexpensive throwback to early FPS design, especially when purchased at a discounted price. Others note that the limited mechanical depth, repetitive level design, and modest production values hinder long-term enjoyment. The game’s value often depends heavily on player expectations—approached as a small-scale retro experiment, it can provide brief entertainment, but it may disappoint those seeking a more robust cyberpunk shooter experience. Ultimately, Cyber Utopia stands as a niche indie FPS that embraces simplicity and retro aesthetics without attempting to modernize its formula significantly. It offers straightforward gunplay within a cyberpunk setting, delivering a compact experience that reflects both the charm and constraints of low-budget development. For players with an appreciation for classic-style shooters and minimalistic design, it may serve as a short-lived nostalgic diversion. However, those looking for refined mechanics, immersive storytelling, or expansive content are likely to find its ambitions limited by its execution. Rating: 5/10
Old style first person shooter, you have to like it if you thinking about buying it, maybe watch some videos about it.
Would honestly do the Main Character, other than that the game is alright. 7.5/10
gözüme 1 tl soksam daha az zarar alırdı

well that was actual ♥♥♥♥. This is one of those Boom Shoots that learns ♥♥♥♥ all from its far more fun predecessors. It wants so desperately to be a horny Blake Stone but while Blake Stone was a revolutionary if clunky game that had the misfortune of coming out a week before Doom, this game is just an unfun 28 minute slog that will feel like 28 hours. Just like in Blake Stone the ammo is universal and switching to the weapon you want ammo for will make that weapons ammo go up, a ♥♥♥♥ design choice in Wolf 3d and Blake Stone and even worse here, because the good weapons don't use enough ammo to justify not always using them after getting them. Oh, and No Mini Map in this idiot maze game so you run in circles and extend the abysmally short game time. And Don't Forget, this is one of those stupid games where you have to go into your files and ♥♥♥♥ around with the compatibility settings just to make it function. Actual Garbage.
Worst controls I have ever had the misfortune of experiencing, if it had an option to change the controls it would be better. it really feels like no one play-tested the game. i was hoping to get better at fps when i was gifted this but was extremely wrong
good game
