overall very good. its even free. I recommend it.
This game is superb. Huge props to the solo developer, it was a real pleasure playing your game and it made me feel like I was back in my childhood days browsing the freshest picks on Newgrounds. To anyone interested, this game's puzzles are hardcore, the enemy designs are pretty metal, and the combat + leveling system are very worthwhile. I highly recommend going for the True Ending. Cheers.
Impossible To Give This A Thumbs Down Objective Review 6 of 5 must play. 5 of 5 great story great game-play. 4 of 5 great story average game-play. 3 of 5 average story great game-play. 2 of 5 give it a go if it's you're favourite genre. 1 of 5 play if you have nothing better to do, 0 of 5 play if you're a masochist. -1 of 5 avoid. Cursed 2 score is 0 of 5. Subjective Review The world/environments in this game are sohh rich in painting the horror experience in a somewhat insane way...scary, but somehow endearing, at least to me. It's like playing a comic book. But sadly, I finally gave in to the tedium induced by having to repeat same sequences over and over because of a lack of save locations. It was turning an enjoyable experience into mundane repetition. I have played some very hard games and completed them, extremely hard games. But they were hard not because save locations made you do the same routes over and over again. They were just enjoyably difficult, allowing you to save just before you knew you were going to encounter a tough character, so you didn't have to jump through endless hoops over and over again just get to that difficult encounter. The atmosphere in Cursed 2 isn't scary, it's a fear based on having to do tedious repetitive battles on the way to an encounter. Battle mechanics, again, to me, are terrible. But the artwork when it comes to those grotesque encounters is horrifically charming. The story is like an old Hitchcock movie, and it's just a game that stands out from the rest because of such. It captured my heart in those ways so I can't give it a thumbs down. I just can't. But for those out there who for one reason or another enjoy insane battle mechanics and save positions, you've found your game. I seriously believe those who fit that description are going to come away totally satisfied.

can't believe nintendo allowed their music to be used in such a great game
Compared to the first game, there are massive improvements in sequel. Yet, more content dose not mean a good game. The problem with the game is that how everything is just so slow, time consuming and tedious. There are only two ways to heal in the game. One is drinking a green liquid and the other is using a mind healing spell. The spell requires mind energy which can take upto 2 to 3 minutes, and barely fills your health. The green liqiud can only be used once and then needs to be refilled for which you will have to go back to the starting area. Then there is the combat, which the first game did better. The dodge mechanic is a hit or miss. Enemies can seeminly spawn into any empty room. The game is set in an open world allowing you to travel at your leisure, which I think hurts the progression of the game. Like in my case, I entered an area where I got knocked out and thrown into a maze. To get out, you need to fight a zombie, which are considered mini bosses. I mean, I am at level 1, barely learning the ropes of combat and the game has already start throwing mini bosses. And I could entirely avoid all of that if I have previous knowledge of this encounter. Then there are the puzzles which are just tedious to do so. Quite a shame, since I really enjoyed the first game was looking forward to it but all I got was frustration.
I wish there were steam achievements for the trilogy.
This game is just awesome, a hidden gem from any other horror game, it does not take itself too seriously, but at the same time it has great story on its trilogy, truly recommend it, the music is great, the bosses and enemies are memorable and the ending was just great.
Cool
