This has the ingredients of everything I love in a grid-based strategy game, with one major exception: due to the shallow mechanics, player skill is almost non-existent. Too much of the game is simply opening blocks and then making the most obvious choice which is usually attack or cast a spell. And then you pray that you get favorable random drops. You can play with starting stats and gear and make it to level two of the dungeon with no hope of success. then you can start another game with the exact same stats and gear in the exact same dungeon and you'll make it to level 15 which completes the main goal in the optional goal. Decision making is very simplistic and limited. Due to the lack of skill required by the player, the game compensates with an upgradable loot system. but the loot system is frustrating because you have a percentage chance to upgrade but if you fail it will actually downgrade your gear. So you have lack of skill and insane grind built on top of one another. If you want a good grid-based game where player skill is heavy, I strongly recommend Dungelot or Runestone Keeper. in each of those games, every move you make requires consideration and a balancing of consequences. In this game you just click and hope.

Really nice F2P game! Thanks Dev for making a solid free game!!
Интересный карточный рогалик, учесть, что он ещё и бесплатный, то это вообще 10 из 10
Crossroads: Lucky Edition is a classic dungeon crawler presented through a clever card‑based format. Every step through the dungeon involves flipping cards to reveal enemies, traps, shrines, books, loot, or useful tools. Your goal on each floor is simple: find the lock and key that let you descend deeper. But luck plays a huge role, and every card you turn can either help you or ruin your run. Character creation is flexible. You choose your gender, race (human, elf, or orc), religion, and class—and you can change these later. Experimenting with different combinations is part of the fun, and eventually you’ll discover the setup that suits your playstyle. Difficulty ramps up quickly. By the fourth floor, you might face an enemy with 8‑damage hits and 40 HP while your character is still only level 1–3. And you must defeat it to get the key. Don’t expect to win; expect to die fast and often. Most runs end before the tenth floor. After each defeat, the game shows your performance, and if your score is high enough—based on floor reached multiplied by kill count—you’ll earn loot. Higher scores mean better rewards. The gameplay is tough for beginners and failure is constant but there’s a certain charm in the slow grind. You gain experience slowly. You gather gems, gold, resources and items slowly. You upgrade equipment slowly—if you’re lucky enough to find the materials. You explore slowly. You level Strength, Agility, and Intelligence slowly. Everything is slow, and that’s the point. You’ll fail many, many times, but the gradual development of your character is satisfying in its own way. Achievements are easy to obtain but they don’t affect gameplay—they just decorate your profile like participation stickers. I recommend Crossroads: Lucky Edition, especially if you enjoy slow character progression, trial‑and‑error learning and the thrill of pushing just a little deeper each run. If you dislike repeated failures or slow growth, you’ll want to look elsewhere.
Nice little board game RPG, 8/10. Game is now for free, it did not get enough attention... honestly I liked it quite a lot... There are ca. 5 dungeons with 5x5 fields each level, where each spot is blacked out. Each field can be a monster, a trap, some HP or Mana, or some event... each floor gets more difficult, and after floor 10 + 15 you either unlock the next dungeon, or get a permanent boost to a skill trough finding an item. What made the game interesting for me are quite a lot of achievements, which also give you in game bonuses (gold, Xp...)... You start with a hero, but can also unlock more, which have a few skills and change the playstyle a bit... All in all, it was rewarding to hunt down those achievements, and you get the feeling of getting more powerful... and eventually I could beat all dungeons (needed ca. 14h for the game)... There is absolutely no pay feature... its free so try it out, it was better than I thought.
