Critter Cove

Mysigt spel, roliga figurer där man har många möjligheter att göra sin karaktär så underlig som möjlig. Va sägs om fladdermus vingar, tv som huvud, ödla, regnbågsfärgad enhörning...oändliga möjligheter =) Massa quests, flertal öar, sjunkna byar, fiska, laga oändligt med mat. Härligt varma färger och när det blir natt blir det mööööööööörk, men en frän pannlampa fixar det =) För någon som mig är detta ett super härligt spel, speciellt på morgonen när hjärnan inte är vaken.

This game is great. It goes beyond the typical cozy game (gathering, building, fishing, cooking, etc) and has a lot of reasons to keep playing. It feels very satisfying seeing the island get more populated and have more businesses. I love seeing the critters find their place with their homes and jobs. I thought the museum was especially brilliant - to see the artifacts you've gathered displayed, and adding to the tourism success. Exploring the surrounding islands and underwater has been a joy (my cat would often sit on my lap and watch it, which he doesn't do with any other game haha). There's honestly so much to love. I'm not big on quests, but these ones didn't bother me too much; they usually contributed to the bigger picture. I'm playing in early access, and there have been a few glitches here and there, like only one swimming fin coming on. But nothing major. One overall comment is that the game could use more instructions on how to do things. I find myself googling a lot (recipes, how to use keys or lures, which machine is used for crafting what, etc.) I also don't like the sound of the critter's talking lol, but that might just be me. Easily one of my top 3 favourite games, and well worth it.

This game is one of the the best hidden gems that I have played. The game has a great character creator and you could easily get over 40 hours of playtime even in early access. The size of this game is very impressive for how small of a team works on it and it seems like a lot of love went into the development of it. I would strongly recommend this game to anyone who enjoys similar games.

randomly came across this game a few days ago, a bit different to what i play so i wasnt sure.im so glad i brought critter cove, there is so much to do in game and im really enjoying it. probably will become one of my faviroute games and i cant wait to see what else they bring to critter cove. i would really recomend this game to everyone and its well worth the money for everything you get in game :)

Super fun game! It reminds me a little of older Animal Crossing games when it comes to the way the characters speak and how uniquely they're designed. Really nice music, interesting story/lore. It definitely gets grindy at times though, especially once you need to start making different types of wooden planks. It's probably my least favorite part ^^; The exploration and quests are pretty fun though, and I look forward to seeing what is added and improved over time. I've played on Steam Deck and PC and it's enjoyable on both~

I played this game in early access and it was stunning already. Rebuilding the island, following a cute story on the side, and getting to know all the different critters was a lot of fun. Some parts of the game get a tiny bit grindy (getting stuff for batteries is probably the toughest challenge, which is still very easy), but never to an extend that I'd call too much. It's always within fun limits. The character creation is my personal highlight because I got to play as myself, and to be honest, that was one of the main reasons I bought this game. I'm happy I bought it, though, because I really enjoyed exploring Critter Cove and everything surrounding it, as well as crafting, collecting, and chatting with critters. My only two "grudges" are that the boat upgrade is still kinda slow, especially when you need to go back and forth between the main island and some of the more distant islands for quests. I'm also a bit sad that the game feels like it's very centred around capitalist endeavours. If you're already in a post-apocalyptic setting, you might as well try something new to create a better society. Overall, this is a game that I'd happily buy again. It is cosy, fun, heartwarming, sometimes a bit silly but in a good way, and managed to make me forget life for over 50 hours (and they have added more stuff since!). The online wiki also really helps when you don't know where to find certain resources or some of the recipes. I played this on Linux, and it ran flawlessly.
