(Got this game for free from OMEGA Trade - G. Thanks!)
Might want to Criss Cross this one off your list...
Criss Cross is a kinetic novel (others say there are no choices) that focuses on a protagonist and a group of his friends that obviously have a romance triangle of sorts involving all of them. From the get-go, I get the obvious feeling that the protagonist does not fit in with his own friends and will only be a third wheel on all aspects. And no, chapter 1 doesn't really make you want to care about the characters as they're all just kind of thrown at you with elaborate names. While I get that it's the intro chapter, their introductions seem rather forced. As I reached the end, I grew to like the characters (even if one of them is a r*pey lesbian girl....but that's kinda my kink soooo....), but it was hard to stomach the poor translation. Aside from that set up, I'm finding the abysmal translation filled with grammatical and spelling errors bothersome and breaking all forms of immersion. I have a better understanding of where this story is going, but that introduction is just so bleak, making the protagonist seem like an ultimate 3rd wheel and a possible cause of all of his friendships falling apart. After that first chapter, there seems to be a lot of one-sided love going on....the writing is decent when you can make out what's trying to be said, but the English translation is still horrible. Characters were saying their own names at the start of their statements, people were still calling the protagonist by the default name, people were talking over one another, and the protagonist even addressed the antagonist by his own name... Some things I noticed about this game so far? The animations are basic EmoFuri animations but with some well-drawn models (I recognize the sequences, especially after purchasing an EmoFuri commission animation). I also get the nagging vibe that this game is either made by the same group behind NEKOPARA or more likely uses the same software to create this visual novel. Sadly, despite how well it looks, I cannot recommend this game. Don't get me wrong, the artwork is well done and the character models are nice, but the introduction was forced and the translation was just a tough pill to swallow. With all due respect to the developer, I ended up liking this game...but the awful translation has not been a positive experience. If the translation was better, I would leave a positive review. But sadly, it is what it is. Under normal circumstances, I would recommend this game without a doubt, but when you need to stop to decipher what was just said...it does become a chore. 4.75 / 10 A nice experience that is filled only with one-sided love triangles and worsened by an awful translation (My perception grew significantly as I played. Originally, it was as low as 2.5 / 10. I honestly wish I could give a positive review...I really do...)

Criss Cross,翻译过来的意思就是「纵横交叉」;实际上玩过这个故事之后,男女主之间其实不只是纵横交叉,而是乱七大八糟。具体怎么乱……我也没记住,因为通关的时候就困意浓浓。唯一能留下的就是看着还行的成就图标。 当然,现在它已经停售了,错过也不要再惦记它了。对游戏作者其他作品还有好奇心且你自认为是百毒不侵的可以去买《White Wing 白色之翼》
The graphics are beautiful, the actors/CVs are professional, the songs and BGMs are touching, and the storyline is a disaster. I assume that game wanna tell a complex love story between these characters, but you can’t find any proper logic how couples fell in love with each other, or any understandable reason why they behave like “Idk why I love her but she’s my girlfriend” or “I heard that we love each other so we are happy”. As for the kawaii characters, could you believe that the black hair girl on title and the neko girl are male? Please don’t draw cute girls and tell me that they’re male!!!
This is now the second VN I've played by this developer/publisher (the first one being Tricolour Lovestory) and I can safely say that I will not buy another VN from them. The quality of these VNs are abysmal. To sum it up, the translation is terrible, probably worse than Tricolour Lovestory if I'm being honest. The characters are bland, dull, forgettable, they're motives don't make any sense, and I just didn't care about any of them by the end. They don't take the time to explain who they are. There's barely anything, I'm not joking. The story is not interesting in the slightest. I finished it in three hours and it easily one of the most forgettable stories I've ever read in literature. Sure the game looks great; the animations are impressive and the OST is serviceable, but Criss Cross fails in every other category. I don't care how good it looks or sounds. I play VNs for the story and this one falls flat. Do not play this. Go play Katawa Shoujo, If My Heart Had Wings, Everlasting Summer, Doki Doki Doki Literature Club, anything but this.
This Game might have the potential to be pretty good. The Sprites and Backgrounds look great and I love Games that use the animated Sprites, however the Settingsmenu is kinda buggy which was a first little minus for me right after I started it and once I got to my first sentences I was really annoyed. Literally every second Sentence has Words missing or doesnt really make any Sense. It just doesnt make fun when you dont even understand every sentence. I normally dont really care if there are Mistakes, but this is too much even for me. After 5 Minutes I closed the Game and I will stop playing until they fix that Translation. This Game looks really like it has Potential but sadly they wasted it :/ Thank you for Giving me this Game to Review <3 Check out my Currator Page: https://store.steampowered.com/curator/34401214/ for more Reviews :)

What can I say about this failure... It was a good way to kill some time is about all. The story Sucked, The translation and grammar were complete garbage. There was so many typos and misspelled words , it was like after a good hour of the game they just gave up trying to even use spell check or google translate.. I would recommend buying the game if it goes on sale for 1$ or if you want a good laugh at some glorious engrish . Characters and animation were cute but story lacked any substance at all. Oh and all the characters are apparently bisexual? Strange.....

百度网盘:s/1EN0GsG3kuiNwS_JTOmnWMg 提取码:rs7v 天翼云盘:t/maQryyRn2QNj 访问码:t1bx
