Good Game. Maybe a bit short, still fun.
It was a delight to return to the world of CRDM even for a short little stint. This game brought the things I loved about CRDW 3 back and continued to build on the commentary of the first. If you liked CRDM3 (and yeah, you 100% should play 3 first) then you will love this one. I am such a big fan of the project share that Strange Scaffold and Pedalboard Games did here; I would love to see more project shared works like this in the future. Good things happen when you build on good dinosaur bones.
Everything that made CRDM3 so fun to play, but with a new story and with more refined/polished combat mechanics, largely thanks to this game getting to build on CRDM3’s solid foundation. I love all the little touches that hint at the “remaster” elements here as well, such as the new take on the UI and pixelated match-3 graphics (staying true to the 'original' CRDM1!) and the music which feels like two times removed from a source material that doesn’t exist. Having a great time with us thus far!
Snagging games that get posted about on the forum from the people who made them once again pays off. Great Match-3 in the Puzzle Quest style where collecting gems gives you powers to defeat your opponent. Story is funny and clever too. I'm glad I didn't keep my reckless spending in check for this one!
