This is a fun creature collector, but it sure is quite repetitive. The sense of wonder and adventure is there, discovering the alien planet has a certain charm to it, especially with the slightly janky flute minigame. It does add some weight and progression to the narrative. I like the color choice and the interconnected level design that thankfully minimized the backtracking. Even so, you'll be visiting the same locations often and it did get a bit boring. The dialogue is probably not for me, it's quite cringe and overly safe, and it goes out of its way to make everyone you interact with very unserious. I skipped most it. While I enjoyed the exploration, when reaching a new area, it just felt tiring.
This is one of those games where I'd love to leave a neutral score, but Steam doesn't allow for that... What I really liked about the game: - Interesting, engaging story - Vibrant, diverse world that didn't feel overly cluttered or bloated - Good voice acting - Very few bugs in the time I played - Decent fast travel options that respect the player's time - Side missions were short but helped build out the world and lore What I didn't like/ found frustrating: - Creatures moved really fast when you were trying to remove the infection, but really slowly when you control them - Despite the variety of creatures, they essentially did the same thing in each biome so puzzle solving never really felt different - Inventory limitations were needlessly annoying, and made gathering health items oddly difficult My biggest problem with the game is ultimately, it wasn't that engaging. The core mechanic of controlling animals to solve puzzles just wasn't that fun after a handful of hours and having to constantly clean the infection with no variation just became tedious. I can tell a lot of love and care has gone into the game, and the dev team have done a very good job. But I just can't recommend it in the basis of the gameplay loop.
Adorable creatures, gorgeous scenery, and a story that makes you THINK. Not one to skip.
Fun game. Good exploring, decent action, cool sifi alien world. Basic but well done. Creatures and yourself can get stuck in terrain can be annoying and other little janks but outweighed by the wholesomeness of the game.
wholesome and insightful you pet everything... besides NPCs
It was a good game for people who like collecting animals (and petting them!). The story was pretty good too. Overall a worthwhile play.
Immersive game with a mysterious plot that keeps pulling me in! grateful i found this one, i thought it would be a smaller game with less in it, and i'm floored at how wrong i was. worth playing! you get to save all the animals Super Metroid style
It was a decently fun game. Early on it was kind of slow, but it explored its mechanics decently well. It does definitely have its issues though. There were a few almost softlocks, some things were not explained well, glitches involving the menus, and most annoyingly a completely miss-able event that locks you out of full completion. Maybe get it if its part of a bundle or a sale.
