While relishing a colourful setting accompanied by a great assortment of quality indie tracks, this rhythm game will permit you to outrun the contestants in an easy-going yet appealing manner![/b][/i][/h1] [h1]Design:[/h1] Crazy Athletics is presented with very clean visuals and colourful cartoon style graphics. The animations are smooth and pleasing to look at - the altogether combined with bright colours creates an engaging environment for casual game enthusiasts. At the beginning of the game, we do get presented with an appealing menu inviting the player to choose a character design up to their preferences, as well as, an in-game username and nationality for which to compete as an athlete. The main menu's design is well-done coming to graphics and the little detail of picking the gameplay mode by choosing the respective door is also refreshing. This game does present a variety of 10 maps with a total of 70 levels + 10 bonus events. [h1]Gameplay:[/h1] This is a casual rhythm game combining competitive sports theme together with a large indie playlist to tune into. The gameplay is presented as a typical rhythm game where you have to press keys based on when the nearing up circles on the bar are overlaid with the keys you have to press. You can play in single-player mode against NPCs or online multiplayer against other users. The NPCs do present funny names; you may happen to race against animals, public figures, fictional characters, and so on. At each level, we do have an athlete to outrun or a certain score to exceed - there is also a variety of sports featured in this game. Keep in mind that if you press too early a certain command key, you will either cause your athlete to begin the marathon ahead of time or mess up your jumps, which will lead you into failing the level. Worry not - you can restart the level at hand and try again as many times as you need. The game will be increasing its difficulty slightly when progressing, however it won't result challenging and the playthrough will maintain the pace of a casual game. As mentioned above, the game is sectioned in maps and their respective levels. The levels do offer a variety of objectives each and different sports at hand. There are also levels involving 3 consecutive challenges and a funny cute level where you have to outrun a dinosaur on a tropical island. Fortunately for casual gamers if you fail one of the consecutive challenges (3 within 1) you won't have to restart from the first challenge in order to complete the level. The player at the completion of each level will unlock new abilities and songs as well as the character will polish their skills in a way their athletic potential and endurance will increase. [h1]Controls:[/h1] In order to play this game we do use keyboard controls. The gist of the gameplay is to keep the speed bar full in order to go as fast as possible during the races. In order to go fast, we do have to press the indicated keys when it is demanded (in simple terms when the circles are overlaid) during the featured level. A little note is that when you reach the point where 4 command keys are to be used, the key choice may be a tad unhandy to manage for the player. Nonetheless, the level completion won't result particularly hard. [h1]Featurings:[/h1] A quality playlist is featured during the gameplay, you can also choose yourself which song to play during levels. The tracks mostly present nostalgic yet positive sounds and I personally appreciated each single piece featured in this game. There will also be some unlockable content at the end of game where you can improve your scores. The game is quite short, however keep in mind the price is high given it offers many quality tracks, nice animation, 4k visuals and different level maps. [h1]Overall:[/h1] This is not a challenging game. Recommended if you are willing to play a very laid-back rhythm game presenting sports as main theme. Good game. How to describe it: A guitar hero / nintendo push button at right moment olympics crazy game. The game is super smooth and IT HAS VERY GOOD MUSIC. Music can be downloaded as tracks and I have becouse its great, try it. The games are fun, and very competitive, records include real players from all over the world and needs exact timing. Has huge contents and many hours to give, achievments etc. 10 maps and 100 super songs to hear! Can even play local 4p multiplaer. Tried with my son but its too diffcult for him. Recommended.
