Indie game that grabs your attention from the very first moment thanks to its most striking idea: it runs directly over your desktop, something very unusual that gives it a lot of personality. It feels original and different, although it also has its downside, as the constant flashes, transparency effects, and mix of colors can be quite exhausting for the eyes and make it unsuitable for people with epilepsy, so caution is advised. Using a clean, neutral desktop is recommended, even if that means losing part of the unique identity that makes it stand out. The gameplay is very straightforward and no-nonsense: shoot, dodge, and not much else. It works, but it clearly feels simple and a bit rough, and you miss ship upgrades, power-ups, or some kind of progression system that makes you feel like you’re gaining tools as you advance, not just relying on skill and memory. Still, the levels are fairly well balanced and the difficulty ramps up in a logical way, although it’s easy to get stuck on certain stages, especially those with faster invaders that leave very little room for error. It’s a short but intense game, ideal for quick, focused sessions. Achievements are quite easy and accessible, to the point that reaching 100% completion doesn’t feel like a big challenge. Overall, it’s a different and enjoyable experience with a very good core idea and clear room to be polished and expanded if its mechanics were developed further. Would I recommend it? Not really. Steam forces you into a very black-and-white YES or NO, and in this case I marked it as recommended more as a recognition of the developers’ work than a genuine recommendation, because in practice it’s closer to a “no, with nuances.” I bought it, I finished it, and I had a good time, but I wouldn’t play it again in its current state. That said, the core idea is good and has potential; with some light improvements, a bit more depth, and a few additional levels, it could become a much more compelling experience.

С другой стороны, графика выглядит так, словно ее рисовали в Paint на уроке информатики в 90-х. Но давайте разберемся по порядку: Сюжет: Внеземные завоеватели решили захватить не планету Земля, а ваш персональный компьютер! Захватчики выглядят, как недоделанные пиксельные монстры из 8-битных игр начала века. Они атакуют ваши иконки, заползают на браузер и даже пытаются завладеть вашим YouTube! Геймплей: Игра представляет собой классический шутер. Вы управляете пиксельным кораблем и уничтожаете волны врагов, которые бегают по вашему рабочему столу, как тарантулы по пустыне. Графика: Вот здесь все становится интересно. Игра использует стиль 8-битной графики, что не всегда выглядит красиво. Враги выглядят как недоделанные монстры из ночного кошмара, а окружающая среда напоминает размытые картинки из книжек для детей. Но с другой стороны, это и есть особый шарм игры. Музыка: Оригинальный 8-битный саундтрек создает атмосферу ностальгии по временам, когда игры были проще, но не менее увлекательны. В итоге, CPU Invaders - это игра на любителя. Она не идеальна, но она имеет свой особый шарм. Игра заставит вас улыбнуться нелепости геймплея и окунуться в мир 8-битной ностальгии. Taking this shovelware seriously as if it was a genuine attempt to make a game, it doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers, left handed gamers or gamers using AZERTY or other international keyboard layouts. A choice was made to use obsolete, decades old retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the low quality graphics. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Is this one of the best of the 100,000+ games on Steam? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off. If you want advertising, Youtube is right there for you, and you don't have to go through the trouble of adding those adverts to your Steam Library and downloading them first, like you do with this one.

NO LO RECOMIENDO. LE DOY BUENA PUNTUACIÓN PARA APOYAR AL DESARROLLADOR. Juego bien programado, entretenido, extremadamente desafiante. Consta de 10 niveles (sin música) donde matas a unos virus que atacan a los programas de tu computadora (ya que lo que ves de fondo es tu propio escritorio y no el juego en si) ¿recomendable? realmente no. Parece menos un videojuego, y más la experiencia que cosechó un programador haciéndolo.
