Ohhhh this is indeed very cozy and chill ^_^ It plays like 'Bao Bao's Cozy Laundramat' but better in my opinion. While in Bao Bao's you just place items and sit down and watch (which is honestly still lovely), in this game you can stock your shelves with varied items from food, drink and other sundries. The coolest part is that in addition to earning money by selling your goods idly, you also gain research points to unlock new items to sell in your little konbini. The animal customers are charming to watch. The lofi beats are plentiful and on a shuffle which I appreciate in an idler, instead of listening to the same tune on repeat. Nice ambient sounds, also a bonus. Love the pitter patter of rain, so calming!! I love everything so far and it seems varied enough for its intended purpose. Not sure if it is coming, but I wish I could customize the flooring or put up sale posters or signs on the windows. The tutorial was helpful but lacking in instructions on how to reposition or delete items. Caution tho, when you delete an item you do not get your money back. If I could change anything it would be this. Maybe a sell option to get part of the funds back? The money making seems appropriate enough, if anything maybe too easy. Def not as tough as Bao Bao's haha. I am excited to expand and unlock more stuff because all the food sounds seriously so delicious!! Why can't our little depanneur's be this cool in Canada, mannn -_- Ramen and bento boxes FOR ALL, om nom nom :D
🏪Cozy Desktop Konbini Review🛍️
This is such a cozy and wholesome game. It’s genuinely heartwarming to watch the cute little animal customers come into my tiny shop and buy their favourite items. The game is all about running your own general store from stocking up on bread and snacks to tasty meals, it’s all about keeping those adorable customers happy. The animal characters really give me Animal Crossing vibes in the best way. Cozy Desktop Konbini is a perfect idle, bottom-of-the-screen kind of game. It’s addictive without being demanding, with a delightfully slow pace that fits the relaxing tone. Earning “Idea” points (used for unlocking and researching items) takes a bit of time, but it feels well-balanced and rewarding. One thing I really liked, especially as someone who’s neuro-spicy is how satisfying it is to organise your shelves. I love putting stationery on one shelf, cleaning products on another... it just makes my brain happy! Decorating the shop is also a lot of fun. At first, I didn’t think there’d be many decorations, but more and more became available through the “Title” tab and the research system. I’ve really enjoyed unlocking and customising everything! The game does sadly have issues: I wish I could side-scroll without the whole game screen shifting, it’s frustrating. The achievements are broken, sadly I can't 100% it until fixed. There are a few other small bugs, visual stuff, screen movements, things can sometimes stop working which need a game reset. If you enjoy idle games or cozy games that quietly sit at the bottom of your screen while you go about your day, this one’s definitely worth checking out! I would say maybe wait for an update to fix a bunch bugs, specially those achievements. Enjoy shopkeepers ☕
Tip: If you want to find more reviews like this, check out our curator page Moon's Tea House
9 achievements are broken and have been reported on since around the time of the game's launch, many players, myself included, have reported on steam as well as through the in game bug report however there have been no updates or response regarding the bugs or the broken achievements. a lot of the ones that are broken are simple "place this item, or three of these items" (when more than the requested amounts have been placed) some of us have tried wiping our entire saves and started fresh but nothing works. i reset my entire game/progress and new achievements are broken, very disappointing, plus the bugs make the gameplay unpleasant at times as well, especially the moving tool. i cannot recommend this game with the current state and issues, and if there is no response from the team on constructive feedback posts or bug reporting regarding issues players are encountering, perhaps downvotes are the only way for them to look at whats going on. if a fix is being worked on, it doesn't hurt to give updates. i will gladly remove my review once the broken achievements are corrected, until then steer clear, especially if you enjoy achievement hunting.
It could be a cute and nice game but there's some bug and achiev broken and there's no news of the dev since the launch. Do not buy it yet. Let's hope the dev come back sooner than later to do the fixes.
Not bad, it has pretty nice relaxing idle desktop tycoon-ish feeling. There are a few bugs but that may be caused by Win11 that I use. Overall, I would give it a solid 7/10.
Loads of bugs, broken achievements.
Honestly love this little game. I leave Cozy Desktop Konbini running while I work and it’s just... chill. It’s like having a tiny store living on my screen. I check in every now and then to restock stuff or see what the customers are up to, then go back to work. Doesn’t demand your attention, but it’s always there doing its thing. Super cute art, relaxing sounds, and just enough interaction to make it feel rewarding without being distracting. Perfect for working-from-home vibes. If you like idle games or cozy stuff, definitely worth checking out.
If you're an achievement freak, don't get this. Achievement stays locked and no updates happen to fix any issues.
Really lovely idler game and I've enjoyed my time in it so far. You run a konbini where cute animal customers come to shop or use various services. You get idea points when they use services, and you use idea points to research (unlock) new products and furniture/decorations. What I like: - Complete freedom to stock each shelf how I want - The red button that moves the game to a second monitor - Tutorial teaches enough of the basics for me to enjoy the game right from the start, but leaves enough room for me to explore more of the mechanics myself e.g. the title system, how to move shelves/items etc - Lo-fi music is lovely, I don't feel the need to mute it and play my own music - Visual changes to indicate time of day. It's soothing to see the days pass for some reason and to see the animals coming and going. - The buttons to increase/decrease height of the game, really useful when I move it between my laptop and display monitor What I would like in the future: - An indicator e.g. a small green dot on the Title tab when new titles are available to collect - Something in the tutorial to explain how to move/delete shelves and items e.g. "as you progress through the game, you will discover the utility items you need to move buildings and decorations." I don't mind not knowing exactly what utility I need and how to unlock it (as that is part of the fun), but it'll be useful to know it's something I need to find out.
