About
You are the Court Wizard. The kingdom's last line of defense. Also, possibly its biggest liability.
Defend your castle against relentless waves of attackers by casting spells, brewing potions, and hoping your own fireballs don't land on your own troops. Your defenders fight automatically — your job is to tip the scales with magic, strategy, and questionable judgment... and try not to kill your own King.
This isn't a cosmetic choice. Each wizard fundamentally changes how you play:
Rune Caster — Combine Q/W/E/R key sequences to unlock powerful combo spells
Randomancer — Spin a roulette wheel for random spells at massive power
Swordcerer — Leave your tower and fight on the battlefield yourself
And more, each with their own mechanics
Hurl fireballs. Summon black holes. Raise the dead. Build stone walls. Put enemies to sleep. Every spell has three tiers of talents that unlock through use — pick one of three choices per tier to shape your playstyle. Turn your Arcane Crystal into a permanent turret. Make your Chain Lightning bounce further. Give your Healing Plume a mind of its own.
Collect ingredients during battle and mix them into powerful brews. Discover hidden combos between ingredients for bonus effects. Boost your mana, empower your defenders, or slow the enemy horde — the recipe is up to you.
Earn Arcane Insight to research new spells. Unlock talent tiers by mastering the spells you already have. Track your progress through an interactive spell research graph. Every battle makes your wizard stronger.

If you pre-ordered GTA6 go ahead and get your money back, you don't need it, COURT WIZARD is about to ruin your life. This portrait of medieval life is about to consume what little free time you have. Its the game of a generation.
Burninate the enemy with my grease and fire combo! Mini boss fights every few rounds are pretty fun. Lots of strategy to unpack.
PEW PEW PEW MAGIC MISSILES!!!! Fun and challenging game with a lot of cool spells. Great deal even at full price.

I played for a solid hour as the "boring ol' made" (games words, not mine) and it was a delight. SO many spells, so much spell synergy. I could play 200 more hours as boring old mage and still be learning new things. But then I found the Warglock. He doesn't have spells, he has guns. There are who knows how many more wizards to unlock but I have been largely unable to walk away from my Warglock. I don't have a lot of time to play PC games anymore but when I do I love being able to sit down and immediately rain fire (whether from my hands or my flamethrower) right away. My 4 year old son loves playing it too.
Very Wizard! Extensive spell and tech tree options, and varied modes make this very replayable
Very chill and fun with a retro vibe, love the mix of roguelite and strategy rts feeling i got from it.
Fantastic game, especially considering the price. Lots of variety, and a great mix of obvious and subtle synergies across the wizard types, spells, brewing, and upgrades. Progression is well tuned, I was unlocking something new almost every round at the start, but not so much that I couldn't try out most or everything before the next unlock. I really appreciate a good loop that gives you progress win or lose, even more so when it's not clear upgrades as much as new options. The spell customization that unlocks with usage is a great way to discover ways to use the spells I may not have originally thought of. My recommendation? Unlock the Randomancer and use the no repeat spells modifier in roguelike mode, it will get you into all kinds of wild combinations that expose the surprising depth on offer.
