Country Tales: Wild West

Country Tales est un time management plutôt efficace, le design des personnage est très agréable et on se prend vite à apprécier les aventures de Ted en tant qu'adjoint du maire pour résoudre tout les problèmes courants de celui-ci et son petit attachement pour Catherine la fiancée du maire. Le jeu est composé de 40 niveaux avec 4 niveaux de difficultés. Personnellement, je me suis arrêté aux 3 étoiles et j'ai laissé tombé le niveau supérieur avec le diamant. Si il est toujours possible d'avoirs les 3 étoiles avec une certaine sécurité sur vos click ou choix de construction (hormis 4 ou 5 niveaux qui demandent une réflexion avec de commencer mais ils ne sont pas insurmontables non plus), le dernier niveau de difficulté ne pardonne aucunes erreurs... Chaque niveau comporte un coffre caché qu'il faudra trouver en premier car il donne un petit pécule de départ qui n'est pas négligeable. Dans le gameplay, on y trouvera les "trucs" habituels (construction de bâtiments, récupération de matériaux et objectifs à faire) et d'autres qui à mon avis ne font qu'alourdir le gameplay avec la notion de médecin pour les foyers qui tombent malade et qui par conséquent ne produisent plus rien... On a d'autres préoccupations et mettre cela par dessus ça devient lourd... Mais rassurez vous, cette notion de médecin n'est pas là tout de suite mais apparaît vers le milieu du jeu... Et c'est cela que je reprocherai au jeu, le changement de gameplay à la volée... Prenons les cabanes... On les construit et elles produisent de l'argent au début, par la suite il faudra penser à ajouter une ferme car elles ont besoin de nourritures et enfin un médecin pour soigner les habitants. Effectivement, si vous suivez le jeu niveau par niveau, il vous montre la procédure mais si on le refait pour gagner les étoiles qui manquent, on se retrouve à se demander si il faut mettre une ferme, un médecin... ou pas... dans tel ou tel niveau... Il est à noter aussi que dans mon jeu, il y a un bug... un effet de lumière qui simule les éclairs dans les maps ayant un temps orageux mais qui se déclenchait aussi dans les niveaux suivants avec des maps ensoleillées... ce qui donne à la fois un effet désagréable et fatiguant pour les yeux car il se répète régulièrement. La seule solution que j'ai trouvé cela a été de supprimer les effets dans les options ou de redémarrer le jeu (parfois ça fonctionne... jusqu'à la prochaine map avec un temps orageux) Country Tales est un bon jeu malgré ses lacunes sur le gameplay, à vouloir trop complexifier celui-ci parfois, il pourrait finir par en devenir désagréable mais les personnages sont attachants et l'histoire se suit sans problème. Et rien que pour cela je ne lui tiendrait pas trop rigueur sur ses quelques lacunes.

Awesome little time/resource management game. It's got a goofy, entertaining story with some fun characters. Some of the levels are actually hard to perfect, which adds to the challenge. There is a hidden treasure to be found on every level, in addition to the mission/level objectives. I thoroughly enjoyed this little gem, especially considering how inexpensive it was. Recommended.

The controls respond quickly, and the levels move at a pace that keeps you busy without being stressful. It feels clean and organized, which makes it easy to settle into. The visuals have a warm look. The buildings, farms, and small details give each level a friendly atmosphere. Nothing is heavy or dark. It is the kind of art style that makes the game feel calm even when you are rushing to finish tasks. The game also gives you a few difficulty options, so you can play casually without timers or challenge yourself with faster goals. Both modes work well. I like that you can replay levels to get a better score without feeling like it is a chore. There are about forty levels, and each one adds a small twist or new structure. It keeps things interesting without changing the core gameplay. You always know what you are doing, and the goals stay clear from start to finish. Overall, Country Tales is a simple and enjoyable time management game. It plays smoothly, looks nice, and gives you that same satisfying feeling you get from building and completing tasks in little bursts. It is easy to pick up and perfect for anyone who likes games in the same style as Kingdom Chronicles or My Kingdom for the Princess.
