很难想象遇到这么无聊的卡牌游戏,被轻松搞怪的概念吸引,结果发现玩法浅得像是半成品。
CosmoPirates delivers a chaotic blend of roguelike exploration, deckbuilding strategy, and comedic sci-fi adventure that feels both familiar and refreshingly eccentric. Instead of presenting a dark and serious journey across space, the game embraces absurdity through its colorful universe, strange humor, and unpredictable gameplay systems. Developed by BlackMoon Design, it builds its identity around becoming a space pirate captain who explores dangerous sectors, recruits unusual crew members, and assembles increasingly ridiculous card combinations while attempting to overthrow the galaxy’s ruling pirate overlord. The game immediately stands out because it never hides its playful personality, using exaggerated writing and bizarre mechanics to create a strategy experience that feels energetic from beginning to end. The core gameplay loop revolves around traveling through procedurally generated areas while preparing for increasingly difficult battles. Each run offers different encounters, rewards, and opportunities, ensuring that progression rarely feels repetitive. Players gradually improve their decks by collecting new cards and discovering synergies that can dramatically reshape combat. Some builds focus on raw aggression and direct attacks, while others emphasize utility effects, status manipulation, or crew-based advantages. This flexibility gives players room to experiment constantly, which is one of the strongest aspects of the game. Every successful run feels like the result of adapting creatively to the random tools and events encountered throughout the journey. Combat itself is easy to understand but surprisingly strategic once the game begins introducing more advanced mechanics. Every battle requires players to manage resources carefully while balancing offense, defense, and long-term planning. The cards are filled with exaggerated and humorous effects that reinforce the game’s comedic tone. Actions that sound completely ridiculous often become central to powerful strategies, giving battles an unpredictable quality that keeps encounters entertaining. While many deckbuilders focus heavily on serious tactical depth, CosmoPirates approaches strategy through a lighter and more playful lens without sacrificing meaningful decision-making. One of the game’s most memorable features is its progression structure tied to the pirate throne. The objective of each run is not simply survival but the overthrow of the galaxy’s reigning pirate leader. Once players succeed, their victorious character becomes the new ruler for future runs, essentially transforming previous progress into the next major obstacle. This clever mechanic adds continuity between campaigns and gives victories a lasting impact on the world itself. It also reinforces the game’s central theme of endless competition and shifting power among space pirates. The idea may sound simple, but it creates a stronger sense of persistence than many roguelikes that rely only on unlock trees or permanent stat upgrades. Visually, the game embraces a comic-inspired art direction filled with exaggerated character designs, colorful environments, and humorous animations. The style fits the tone perfectly because it avoids realism entirely in favor of personality and charm. Ships, aliens, and crew members all look intentionally over-the-top, making the universe feel more like a chaotic cartoon than a traditional science fiction setting. Although the production values remain modest compared to larger strategy titles, the presentation consistently supports the game’s comedic atmosphere and adventurous pacing. The soundtrack and sound effects also deserve praise for helping maintain the game’s energetic mood. Music tracks create a sense of space adventure while still preserving the lighthearted identity of the experience. Battles feel lively thanks to fast-paced audio cues and exaggerated effects that make even smaller encounters feel dramatic. The combination of visuals and sound design helps the galaxy feel alive despite the game’s indie-scale budget. The humor is another major reason the game leaves a strong impression. CosmoPirates constantly fills its world with absurd dialogue, strange item descriptions, and ridiculous situations that give the experience a unique identity. Rather than trying to imitate darker roguelikes or grim sci-fi stories, it fully embraces silliness. This commitment to comedy helps the game feel approachable and entertaining even during difficult battles. The writing rarely takes itself seriously, and that carefree tone becomes one of the project’s biggest strengths. Still, the game is not without flaws. Balance issues can occasionally appear once players discover especially powerful combinations capable of overwhelming enemies with minimal resistance. Certain runs may become easier than intended due to lucky card synergies, while weaker builds can feel overly punishing early on. The game also assumes a willingness to experiment, meaning newcomers to deckbuilders might initially struggle to understand how deeply card combinations and crew management affect survival. Some tutorials and explanations could have been more detailed to help ease players into its systems. Even so, CosmoPirates succeeds because it combines strong replayability with a distinct personality. The procedural exploration, evolving decks, and creative progression mechanics encourage repeated playthroughs, while the humor prevents the experience from feeling too repetitive or overly serious. It is a game that understands how important charm and creativity can be within a crowded genre. Instead of trying to compete directly with larger roguelike deckbuilders through complexity alone, it chooses to stand out through energy, humor, and unusual ideas. For players who enjoy strategy games that encourage experimentation and replayability, CosmoPirates offers an entertaining and surprisingly addictive adventure. Its combination of tactical combat, randomized exploration, and bizarre sci-fi comedy creates an experience that remains consistently engaging despite occasional balance problems. The game may not revolutionize the roguelike deckbuilder genre, but it introduces enough creative ideas and personality to feel memorable in its own right. Beneath the colorful chaos is a thoughtfully designed strategy game that rewards experimentation and embraces fun above all else. Rating: 7/10

Каждый раз когда враг делает "критический выстрел" - игра зависает..
Yes, I recommend as it is a fun little game, but I would say only get this game if it is for $5 or less. As someone else stated, if you have played any game remotely like this before, you are going to breeze through this in about 4 hours. After you figure out a broken build, there's just no point any longer. They should not let anything carry over and instead let you have a starting loadout of a few items you may have unlocked instead of everything. Also, would have loved to see an actual progress bar to unlock certain ships, unique things, etc.
一款儿童友好的卡牌游戏,轻松惬意
Nice game
+Some player choice -...but not enough/the cycle is way too slow -Game tempo is really slow, you keep waiting animations all the time -No resolution settings -Abysmal music = Disappointment = I could not find the fun = I wouldn't recommend the game for myself. ............................................________........................ ....................................,.-‘”...................``~.,.................. .............................,.-”...................................“-.,............ .........................,/...............................................”:,........ .....................,?......................................................\,..... .................../...........................................................,}.... ................./......................................................,:`^`..}.... .............../...................................................,:”........./..... ..............?.....__.........................................:`.........../..... ............./__.(.....“~-,_..............................,:`........../........ .........../(_....”~,_........“~,_....................,:`........_/........... ..........{.._$;_......”=,_.......“-,_.......,.-~-,},.~”;/....}........... ...........((.....*~_.......”=-._......“;,,./`..../”............../............ ...,,,___.\`~,......“~.,....................`.....}............../............. ............(....`=-,,.......`........................(......;_,,-”............... ............/.`~,......`-...............................\....../\................... .............\`~.*-,.....................................|,./.....\,__........... ,,_..........}.>-._\...................................|..............`=~-,.... .....`=~-,_\_......`\,.................................\........................ ...................`=~-,,.\,...............................\....................... ................................`:,,...........................`\..............__.. .....................................`=-,...................,%`>--==``....... ........................................_\..........._,-%.......`\............... ...................................,<`.._|_,-&``................`\..............
I'd recommend only if it's on sale mostly based on the amount of time it takes to complete the game. I enjoyed the versatility of play styles. I would enjoy more if there were multiple campaigns with different objectives, and maps.
