Contagion isn't your average Zombie Shooter but instead takes a more realistic and different approach to the popular genre with unique characters, environments, weapons, items, and a built in system that makes every round completely unpredictable with resources, objectives, and paths ever changing.

Reviews
A classic old-style zombie genre with a bit randomization gameplay in each playthrough.... Decent enough by itself, even better with "friends" around acting as bait, or rather luring hordes of "fans" towards someone else.... Pity they're not many games nowaday that can be considered as a sequel or spiritual successor for this one....
No more room in hell, but paid and crap

I bought this game because I very enjoyed playing left 4 dead 2. This game is very different and I agree with others that this game doesn't meet 2025 games criteria. Game is incredibly borring and complicated comparing to left 4 dead 2 where the task is fun and simple (go from point A to B / survive for X amount of minutes while the hord attacks you), but in this game you have to wonder around huge map to find keys, then the keycards, then diffrent type of color keycards, then the fuses... and so on. There is also maybe like 7/9 zombies on the map, so there is litterally almost no killing at all. Ai of the zombies is also bad, they sometimes get stuck in a place. I haven't tried multiplayer, maybe it's fun with friends but the single player experince is just straight bad. Final rate 3/10
Mortal, hear my decree: Contagion is a glorious feast of chaos. The undead rise, bullets fly, and your fragile mortal screams bring music to my eternal ears. I love it. Now go play… before I weigh your heart for hesitating.

This game made me slowly lose brain cells as I progressed in the campaign solo. Some stuff that made me almost break stuff around me were: 1. Shooting zombies in the head (EVEN while crouching or having the sniper scope) is awful, as it makes an outline around the zombie or the hit doesn't register when I clearly aimed at it's head; 2. Pushing zombies away only pushes 1 of them, while the others gangbang you to death (meanwhile in L4D there isn't any problem); 3. Keys in later levels are sometimes pretty difficult to find even when you KNOW you've searched every nook and cranny for it but to no avail; 4. If you alt-tab accidentally or if you wanted to do something else while the game is in a bar, once you try to get back in the game it will close the game's image and bugs you. You can close the menu, shoot, run and stuff but you can't see jack. And for the positives: 1. The music and athmosphere is good, it was well made. I can't explain how much I dislike this game sometimes because of the zombies or the mechanics. I'll try finishing it but who knows how long will it take, judging by how it played so far, I doubt I'll have a change of heart. P.S. And if you SOMEHOW, close a door while you're in a corner, it crashes your game. Happened to me while I was in Biolab and I got inside the janitor's closet. 3/10
