At the time of this review the game is not functioning at all. Freezes dead when loading in the main menu. Current Setup: CPU - Ryzen 7 7800X3D RAM - 64GB GPU - XFX RX6900 XTX OS - Win 11 Pro.

I'm not normally one to write a review, let alone a negative one... But this just has to be said... DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS GAME! What the game wants to be is incredible, however this game falls short on MANY things. My main gripe with this game is the campaign... A campaign is (typically) played solo, however Contagion's campaign is a joke to play solo. Certain parts of the campaign are literally impossible solo, even on easy. There was one part where you're in a decent enough sized room but you flip a switch to open a SUPER SLOW door and an alarm goes off summoning a ridiculous amount of zombies that dont shamble towards you like most do but instead they ALL run at you... and the only light source you have is a small flashlight that barely works properly if the zombies get too close. The other part of the campaign that is ridiculous are KEY ITEMS!!! This part pisses me off more than the difficulty... If you have a HUGE map DO NOT make players search for tiny items... maybe one is okay but to require the player to find 6-7 tiny items like keys or keycards on one HUGE MAP with RANDOMISED SPAWNS?!?! Devs wont be changing this anytime soon I presume but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ please save your money for a better game. The only saving grace for this game would be the multiplayer. Having a few extra helping hands from players is nice (Most of them have been playing the game for years and know what to do and where to look for those ridiculous key items I mentioned making the game a whole lot easier, but makes you feel useless)

I'm really surprised and glad that this game is still getting updates to this day it's sad how underrated this game really is because it's genuinely one of the most fun zombie games out there!
