About
Conductor: Eternal Service is an atmospheric horror simulator of a train conductor’s life.
An ordinary night shift on a train?
Not exactly.
Boarding and document checks – monitor passengers as they board and prevent any violations.
Cleanliness and order – remove trash, mop the floors, change and fold the bedding.
Sales and plan fulfillment – offer tea, snacks, and souvenirs to meet your sales targets.
Comfort on the journey – maintain the optimal temperature in the carriage and keep the samovar boiling for tea and instant noodles.
Upgrades and improvements – expand your range of goods, buy new equipment, and increase your profits.
Avoid penalties – every mistake costs money… and nerves.
This is only the surface of a conductor’s job.
Among the passengers lurk those possessed by demons.
Recognize the signs of possession.
Identify which demon has taken hold.
Select the proper holy icon to banish the evil.
A mistake can cost far more than the loss of a premium.
Every station is a new challenge.
Every face is a potential threat.
Can you handle the ordinary duties of a conductor when pure evil rides in your carriage?

Overall I like this game. It has enough to keep you busy. Things aren't overly obvious, so it doesn't feel like you're guaranteed to win every time...there are some aspects that could be improved. There's a noise that sounds like thumping bass that happens when the demon has a specific form of symptom (I won't list it to avoid spoilers)...but that noise has nothing to do with the cause of the symptom...and can easily cause you to think you have another symptom when you don't. I'm also not a huge fan of the jump scares. I personally prefer more psychological horror. I'm not down rating for this because I get that jump scares are a horror preference, and there's nothing fundamentally wrong with a game dev deciding to use them, but I personally would probably play this more if I had a way to turn them off. While this may not be a AAA title, I don't feel it deserves all the negative reviews it seems to be receiving. The game delivers the types of gameplay it promises and the marketing materials/store page are not misleading.
I know I don't have the most time on this but, you can usually tell if a horror game in your cup of tea in the first horror. Maybe it builds into it but I just wasn't haven't a good time. Less simulation and more cinematic and jump horror was what I was looking for. Instead, you get a bunch of tasks and things to keep up with. And the occasional "Horror" thing sprinkled in.
