Mir hat es sehr gut gefallen.
COMPLEX a VR Puzzle Game is a free VR game. It ran on my HTC Vive system, but i could Not get my Vive controllers to work with it. Has background music that you can mute. Maybe it might work better on Oculus. Very Buggy. Try it and delete it.

"COMPLEX a VR Puzzle Game" is another VR tech demo here on Steam, this one is more of a Myst style puzzle game than the usual "wave your arms around and shoot baddies" tech demo that are much more common. Of course, doing something different doesn't mean it's something that's done well. The controls are pure jank, the puzzles unengaging, and the experience underwhelming. I'm not sure if this is an asset flip, but it's one of those cases where the assets just look much better than the rest of the quality of the game... a glaring inconsistency. There's no evidence, but as always, the biggest problem with asset flips besides the plagiarism is the deplorably low quality of the other aspects of the game, and even if the game assets are genuinely created for the game, the quality of the rest of the game is indistinguishable from that of asset flips. It's VR exclusive, and that shows the developer failed to understand the most basic axiom of VR game design... if the only cool thing about your product is VR support, your product is not cool. This game is fairly dated at 7 years old... and even back then it looked old and busted compared to contemporary, professionally made 3D games of the same period. It looked bad then, it looks worse now. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. There's no initial download price, but the developer was charging $1 USD for this. Price barriers, especially on low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure. It seems like a nice gesture for the game to have no up-front cost anymore, but it also tells us that the game wasn't good enough to succeed as a paid product. This is also a bit of a slap in the face to anyone who showed enough questionable judgement to pay money for this... nobody got refunded. In terms of public reception, this failed. There's over 130 million unique gamers visiting Steam every month. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 7 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Since free games don't contribute to your game collector badge and other profile stuff, is this a worthwhile addition to your Steam library? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.
Developer Response!
The developer has weighed in to inform everyone they didn't read the Developer Usage Rules for Steam "partners", or they deliberately ignored the part where Valve says:
Though it may be tempting, not every review needs to be responded to. A developer response will frequently draw more attention than the original statement, potentially turning a small issue into a much larger community discussion. It's also not a good idea to use this feature to refute customer opinions. Your direct attention can be seen as validation or a defensive attempt to silence your customers.
You can't make this up (but computers can)... in a show of complete and utter arrogance, to insult gamers everywhere, the developer responds to valid criticism of the defects of their failed game with an AI GENERATED RESPONSE. AI detection indicates the developer response here is over 90% confirmed AI generated. You can see the arrogance and audacity of the developer, here. Zero respect for gamers. This deplorable attitude from a shady developer confirms absolutely that this game is just a cheap nasty cash grab. The first thing the developer wants everyone to know, as they lividly bashed a GenAI prompt into ChatGPT to formulate this response, is that they are "The Main Character". You, as a gamer, don't matter. They breach Valve guidelines for developers just to complain about a fully accurate and informative review (with facts their ego doesn't like). It's evident from their attitude that they never created this product with gamers in mind. They did so to stroke their own ego. When developers, especially failed ones who would never be able to get a professional job in the industry, put themselves before gamers, we end up with garbage products like this. That explains how this trash ended up on Steam, but it doesn't excuse it. At least we finally got to meet The Main Character, and nobody else matters. This is a little disturbing as the developer indicates they started stalking me and feverishly reading through my reviews... either just obsession with me on their part, or desperation to try find something in one of my other reviews that would somehow change the objectively terrible quality of this failed "game". Whatever their motivation, creeping on reviewers like this is not okay. The "developer" argues that I review a lot of games, therefore this game review isn't valid or truthful. Huh. If I changed all my other reviews to positive, would the graphics and gameplay of this crap game suddenly improve? No. The developer seeks any possible angle to throw shade at me personally to discredit my review. You can see what they are trying to do. If this was the only review I have ever written, would that change any of the properties of this game or alter the facts contained in my review? Of course not. My reviews for other games have no bearing on the dismal quality of this failed product. Nothing in the developers pointless breach of Valve guidelines changes any of the objective facts of my review. My review stands unaltered. I cannot recommend this game to anyone. Developers using disgusting AI slop to complain about factual reviews is a disservice and insult to gamers everywhere. Gamers, you've seen who this developer truly is, now. Now we know why this was such garbage.
[disclaimer: bought via Indygala] I am sorry to say the game doesn't deliver upon its promise. The "puzzles" are of the "assemble 2 or 3 pieces to form a whole", so basically pre-school toy level. The main difficulty lies in the very unforgiving engine. blocks need to be positioned *perfectly* before the engine notice that you have them right. So it's just very frustrating but not challenging per se. on the plus side, the environment and music are nice.
知育パズルっぽいVRゲーム パズル自体の種類が豊富です ただ組み合わせパズルの結合判定が結構シビアで なかなか繋がらないことが多いので、ちょっとイラっとすることも
