Colours of Magic: Aqua Teeter is a small but distinctive indie puzzle title that leans heavily into charm, experimentation, and a hands-on sense of magical tinkering. Developed and published by RunServer, the game casts the player as an aspiring alchemist tasked with manipulating magical liquids across a series of tabletop-style contraptions. Rather than relying on complex rules or dense mechanics, it builds its identity around simple ideas—tilting, guiding, mixing, and timing—and explores how far those ideas can stretch across dozens of increasingly demanding puzzles. At its core, Aqua Teeter revolves around directing streams of colored liquid toward specific targets using platforms, barriers, and angles that influence how the fluid behaves. Early levels introduce the fundamentals gently, teaching players how gravity, slope, and momentum affect the flow. As the game progresses, puzzles grow more layered, requiring players to split liquids, combine colors into new solutions, or ensure that precise quantities reach their destinations. There’s a deliberate, almost tactile satisfaction in watching a plan unfold successfully, as a carefully guided stream reaches its goal after several seconds of suspenseful movement. The game’s difficulty curve is built less around intellectual complexity and more around execution and patience. While the underlying logic of most puzzles is easy to grasp, achieving the intended result often demands fine adjustments and repeated attempts. Small changes in angle or timing can drastically alter outcomes, especially in later stages where multiple streams interact simultaneously. This emphasis on precision gives the game a unique rhythm, where success feels earned through iteration rather than sudden insight. Visually, Colours of Magic: Aqua Teeter adopts a hand-drawn, storybook aesthetic that reinforces its whimsical alchemy theme. Soft colors, playful character designs, and lightly textured environments create an inviting atmosphere that contrasts nicely with the sometimes unforgiving nature of the puzzles themselves. The presentation feels intentionally cozy and unhurried, as if inviting players to experiment without pressure. Complementing this is a gentle soundtrack that supports the magical tone without becoming intrusive, keeping focus on the puzzles while maintaining a relaxed mood. However, the game’s reliance on fluid physics is also its most divisive element. While the animation of liquids is visually appealing, their behavior can occasionally feel inconsistent. Identical setups may produce slightly different results, forcing players to adapt to outcomes that don’t always align perfectly with expectations. In some cases, this unpredictability adds excitement and encourages creative problem-solving, but in others it can undermine careful planning and turn success into a matter of persistence rather than skill. This inconsistency becomes more noticeable when aiming for higher star ratings, where perfection is often required. Progression is tied to performance, with stars awarded based on how efficiently each puzzle is completed. Accumulating stars unlocks additional levels and allows players to bypass particularly frustrating challenges if needed, providing a small safety valve against stagnation. Steam achievements and collectible cards add extra incentives for completionists, reinforcing the game’s appeal as a casual but goal-oriented experience that rewards dedication without demanding mastery from every player. Player reception reflects this balance of charm and frustration. Many appreciate the originality of the concept and the soothing presentation, praising the game as a pleasant diversion that offers something slightly different from traditional logic puzzles. Others are more critical of its rough edges, particularly the occasionally erratic physics and moments where difficulty feels more aggravating than clever. As a result, the game occupies a middle ground within the puzzle genre—neither a universally polished standout nor a throwaway experiment. In the end, Colours of Magic: Aqua Teeter is best understood as an experimental puzzle game driven by atmosphere and curiosity rather than strict mechanical refinement. Its strengths lie in its whimsical identity, creative use of color and fluid interaction, and the quiet satisfaction of solving problems through trial and observation. While it may not appeal to players seeking rigorously precise physics or consistently fair challenge, it offers a distinctive and often enjoyable experience for those willing to embrace its quirks. Approached with patience and an open mind, it delivers a magical little journey that feels like playful alchemy brought to life on a puzzle board. Rating: 6/10

Pretty good game. The only issue with it is that you can´t even launch it anymore . But you can watch a couple trailers on store page what it was like :-(
Diving into splashy colors feels like a water park for wizards, each level a splash of surprise, and the sprites giggle like dolphins on a trampoline.
