👑 Powered by HoI 4 Deu Curators group in German / English 👑

Follow Main group
Follow Second group
English: --------------------------------> Color Connect by Sandford Tech is a very chilling puzzle game with the theme of colours. Color Connect is one of those games that can be easy to learn, but can then become very challenging. Although in Color Connect we only connect coloured dots on interesting 3D grids, this simple puzzle system is appealing. In the beginning we only have to connect a few colours on obvious paths, but of course stranger and stranger shapes and colours are added. This chilling game is accompanied by beautiful ambient music, we are standing or rather sitting in a spacey environment, somewhere in outer space. Apparently on a moon of a gas giant. With over 70 levels, the environment also changes, but remains true to the space ambience. The controls in Color Connect are intuitive and very simple, even though we have no hands. With the trigger key, we drag the colour balls over the 3D grids and with the grip key, we can grab the grid and place it freely in space. For orientation, we have a small blue light point on the left and right as a "tool". We can't or don't need to walk, but we can move around in rommscale, depending on our game area. In the menu, we can select several levels of difficulty and unlock more levels. Color Connect offers the player a lot of content. Personally, I like such small puzzle games, especially when they are lovingly made and work well, as in this case, so that you can spend a lot of time with them. 👀Colour Connect🎊 on my curator page. 👑 Powered by HoI 4 Deu Curators group in German / English 👑

Follow Main group
Follow Second group
This was a happy surprise! Bought it on a whim, and I absolutely loved it! The game itself is a puzzle game, where you connect nodes by filling in lines, and connect colors. Cross every node and connect all colors and you clear the level! Easy to grasp, but has more depth than it first lets on. Why I enjoyed it [olist]
A key factor, the puzzles can be logically reasoned out, pretty much all through-out the game, very satisfying and still reasonable challenging towards the end.
Due to the above, It was very rare that I actually had to restart a level, usually you can work with what you have done so far and keep going until you make it! 👍
I never really felt stuck, and it still lasted a long time! There are a lot of content, but then I've also perfected every level 🤣
Very nice accompanying music, chill and relaxing experience in general, fit for purpose environment and lovely colors when drawing the shapes 😙
The difficulty pacing is not a constant rise but there are some nice dips at the start of the different sections, which is a nice breather when doing lots of them in one go! [/olist] Gotchas [olist]
It's an OpenXR game, make sure to set your runtime in SteamVR if you haven't!
If the game is not connecting to SteamVR or reacting to tracking, make sure to have your controllers turned on before you launch the game! [/olist] That's pretty much it! Highly recommended, if you enjoy any kind of logical puzzles in VR, here you go 😁
Experienced on the Oculus Quest 2
You can view my review & gameplay here: https://youtu.be/drTHyU5hO3Q Color Connect is a very simple, relaxing puzzle game. You basically move the different colored lines from point A to point B, without intersecting with another color, but also you have to touch every single node in the 3D puzzle. There are over 50 puzzles, which generally start very easy but eventually get quite challenging, requiring good 3D spatial thinking skills (or lots of trial and error). This game took me exactly 6 hours to complete. I had a lot more fun playing it than I imagined when I first downloaded it. It's just super chill to solve these puzzles, plus you get rewarded with usually cool, artistic-looking neon-colored end products. The musical soundtrack is also great in this game. Color Connect is running on the Unity Engine. On my RTX 3080, I was getting a steady 90 fps. I did not experience any serious issues or bugs. You can grab the puzzle and move it around to get an easier 3D view. My main gripe is that it is very easy to move a colored line accidentally when trying to move the puzzle to get a better view as they are moved by the same control (either trigger or grip buttons). It would have been better to use grip to grab the puzzle and then trigger for only moving the colored lines. Also, I would have liked to have seen more visual variety in the environment & more than just the one basic-looking environment throughout. Rate 7.5/10. Great puzzle game for casual puzzle fans, although hardcore puzzle fans may find this too easy.
Please note: I received a free Steam key through the Steam Curator Connect program. If you like puzzle games and you are looking for one in VR, this one might be interesting to you. I was wondering what could possibly be worth putting a puzzle game in VR, but since this involves a lot of 3D spatial thinking, putting it in VR is the best thing for it! The basic premise is this: You have a pair of dots with the same color and you have to draw a line from one to the other. BUT you also have other color dot pairs to work with AND you can't cross the lines you've already drawn. Very early on it's quite simple and you start to wonder if there's ever going to be a challenge, but then they throw in 3 colors and now it starts to get interesting. The game scores you based on how many moves you made vs how many moves you were SUPPOSED to make. I haven't seen any situations where you can make fewer moves than suggested but that's a possibility as the puzzles get more complex down the line. My only complaint is kinda a complaint about the controls on the Index. When I first started the game, the tutorial was annoying because I was supposed to move my hands and draw a line, but every time I tried the whole puzzle moved. I almost couldn't do ANYTHING and was tempted to just skip the tutorial (in case it was bugged) but I kept after it and eventually figured it out. The problem was that the game uses the grip buttons (or gripping the controllers on Index) to indicate you want to move/manipulate the puzzle. The index apparently registers a "grip button press" to the game with very little hand pressure on the controllers and as I held it normally, it registered as me gripping the puzzle like I wanted to move it around in my hands. Once I learned I had to totally relax my hand and let my trigger finger do all the work, then it was possible for me to move the controller without also moving the puzzle. It's a minor thing but a lot of games these days seem to not take index controller sensitivity into account. Otherwise, the game is pretty chill and relaxed with no pressure other than "complete the level". The music is kinda soft and the scenery is ok so it could be considered a relaxing game. It's not generally my kind of puzzle game but if you enjoy puzzles that involve spatial thinking then you might enjoy this game.
Really fun and enjoyable puzzle game.

Video of my first dip into the game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WcDQuYGrBGY A really charming and chill little puzzle game. Nice atmosphere without being taxing or distracting, and a nice gentle introduction to the style of puzzle without being too easy for too long. I've played around 40 minutes so far and really enjoyed it, and already I'm having to stop and have a think about the puzzles with *lots* more to go. At the launch-time discounted price this is an absolute steal and you'd be daft not to buy it! At the normal price?... yeah, this is easily worth grabbing for those times where you want something to chill out with. Consider me won over.
Wow... Brilliant concept and game play. The puzzles make you think. It doesn't really need to be in VR, but it adds a nice touch.
A relaxing, seated, puzzle game that rewards your ability to find pathways through a tangle of lines in as few moves as possible. I completed the game in 5 hours and had a delightful time due to the calming scenery and music. I was so impressed with the experience I gifted it to some of my friends. The interface is minimal and intuitive, just like it should be. I plan on playing through multiple times.
