At first I did not think too much about it but it is really catchy!
I like the steam review system because it doesn't ask you to rate the game as good, bad or neutral, it asks you "Would you recommend this game to other players?" And for this game I honestly would not recommend it to other players unless they REALLY loved "digging down" games (yes there are a few of these). It's not a bad game at all, it was merely "ok". This price is very reasonable at $3 US, so that's not an issue at all, even $5 would have been fine, $10?... I don't think so. I did run into a few software bugs where explosions camera shaking pushed me outside of the map and that also happened when exiting some of the quest areas below behind the doors that open and close, just adding some feedback. I will say that the first half of the game was much more enjoyable than the last half of the currently available content. The last several biomes just felt like a chore and I didn't have anything to spend credits on past the Permafrost biome. The developer does promptly answer questions in steam discussions which is a nice plus. If you're on the fence about buying the game I'd recommend watching a video on YouTube to get a better idea if you think you'd like it. If you're really dying to dig a massive hole then it's probably worth your $3.
Really enjoyable already. This game has lots of potential. It's obvious that the dev(s) have put a lot of heart into the design of this, it's not just another asset flip. With some polish and bug squashing, it could really be something. I plan to stick around for the ride! I hope I can contribute something to the development of this game through my playing and bug reports, as soon as I figure out how to do that... lol
i enjoy it a lot, cannot believe how terrible i am but also how fast 7 hours have gone by. very glad i bought this!
Great game, clearly made with lots of love. Dev is active in discussions too and seems very open and friendly. If you like digging games with lots of progression, this is for you!
Warning !! You will get the Sits playing this game !! No bugs easy to learn and cheap :)
fun game.. hoping the dev's keep going at it. change things up a bit
I do recommend this game to anyone that also enjoys mining blocks, there's just a few things that stick with me for making the experience not as fun as it could be though. Firstly dying with a pack full of resources just deletes the resources, no way to retrieve them at all. I really wish there was a way to retrieve these lost inventories as it really feels like a waste of time to have it all vanish. Edit: I found a random skeleton that I could interact with and a bunch of resources popped out, so I believe this game does have a way to retrieve lost resources unless these are just a thing to find. The second thing seems to be a bug with the double jumps. For me they sometimes just don't activate especially when I decide to jump into a pit. I like to use them for breaking falls but there's always that random chance it won't activate and I'll just die. The third thing is with the dynamite, there isn't a way to just drop it at your feet and it's really bouncy so when thrown it is really hard to get it where you'd like it to go off. A fix for the bug and adding the changes would make the game more worthwhile and less of a slog in my opinion, but as it is I still find it entertaining.
Pretty cool game. I am spiderman miner.
