Please send help, this is basically crack. I bought it yesterday and have been finding podcasts to listen to just so I can play more levels of this. The concept is simple - find two or three matching objects - but the variations on that theme are endless and I'm honestly impressed at how many game modes are in this thing. Sometimes it makes me long for just a simple match two objects level!
This is definitely one of those games I wouldn't expect to play, but am happy I did get the opportunity to try it. In short, this is an engaging puzzle game that will test your awareness. It is fun, it does change it's challenges, but for those that are looking for more, it might come short of your expectations. The gameplay concept is quite simple to understand. Generally, the game requires the player to click to engage. This is pretty much as far as the game goes when it comes to controls. Most game types focus on the player trying to click and match objects together, attempting to declutter the screen. Most puzzles simply have a tonne of objects on the screen and the player has to match the objects in an attempt to minimize the amount of clutter on the screen. I think a cool feature that the devs tried to incorporate was changing the puzzles up. This was done by rotating certain pieces or creating puzzles that require the player to slide certain pieces in place to complete the puzzle. This is a neat addition and a break from the same old game mechanics, as fun as they can be. It is not the most engaging or action packed game, but certain players will certainly appreciate the problem solving aspect of the game. The visuals and graphics are suitable to the game. There are a lot of objects on the screen that come in many different colours. There isn't much going on regarding animation and user interface; most of those are simple and to the point. Pictures play a huge theme throughout the game and I am still playing through to see what these pictures are alluding to. The sounds and music are okay. Every time you make a match, it plays a sound (that is part of a bigger music piece). This was a nice addition to the game. Overall, the game is pretty fun for those that enjoy puzzles. I personally think the game is overpriced and maybe worth (at most) $5. I can tell the devs put a lot of effort into making the game, so their price may be justified. Either way, I would suggest waiting for a sale if this game piques your interest. Thank you to the dev for the free copy! Good to know small curators are a part of the picture. Als je denkt dat je de game gespeeld hebt dan heb je het mis. Er zijn veel meer levels om te spelen. Ik kocht het met korting. Dat er geen achievements zijn vind ik niet erg.
This wandered into my path via the Grey Alien Games mailing list. I wasn't sure what to think about it, but just reading its sales page on the website, it had a strong voice, which intrigued me. I was impressed by the longevity of the series (figured it must scratch some itch quite well!), but I wasn't sure if me and the gameplay would be a good fit, so I waited for a sale and got Clutter IX. The strong dev voice permeates the game; it feels like the dev is talking DIRECTLY to you. It's a voice I like. The concept is simple: match 2 of any objects. Fun objects. They're not hidden, though, they're just...cluttered! Or Mahjohngged. Or you need to pull them into the middle, or slide them around. The tasks are simple but really engaging and when you get into a rhythm...whoo! It's kind of minimalist. Satisfying little doop sounds everytime you match. Haven't gotten a good listen to the music (TV's been on everytime I play, but that doesn't detract at all from the experience). You get PLEEEENTY of puzzles--it's a PHENOMENAL value if you wind up enjoying ANY of these puzzles. Many variants, lots of options, so you can play YOUR way (this is a big selling point). This is probably one of the topmost casual games I've ever played. I...could see myself getting into the series!
Clutter IX: Clutter IXtreme is occasionally fun but gets boring
One of the best matching games ever. So meditative and flexible.
This game is so relaxing. I play this after work to wind down.
https://youtu.be/ZNaVwtIcSJM Delivering exactly what it claims to, but without any connective flow makes the gameplay feel as cluttered as the puzzles.
It's relaxing and you can replay it over and over and you will always get a new setup every time. It's never boring. Love the music. I have played every Clutter up to this one, Clutter IX: Clutter IXtreme. Love them all!
