This is a disappointing mess and not enjoyable.

Pros
- It seems like there is more content than previous CVR, with more rooms and characters.
Cons
- Badly written or translated text. - Too much pointless dialogue. - Meaningless "quest" system. - Multiple consecutive dialogues needed with the same character. - Feels like you are randomly running around the club, groping and trying to bang every girl in sight (which for an AVN can be fine, except is at odds with all the dialogue and supposedly connecting with each character and their back story.) - Animations are not smooth. I suspect this is because of the "all new and improved ultra ultra HD models". There is something off about them, heading into uncanny valley. The original Veronica (especially her face) in the old CVR was great. If you want to improve the quality of the sex scenes increase the frame rate, not the resolution of the models. Like how much texture do we need to see on the guy's d*ck skin? Really?
I think what ruins the game the most is the boring dialog. If they would spice it up it would be much better.
Have to agree with the Clone 8En review.
CVR: MB is a VN-lite/sim-lite mix with a dark yet glam aesthetic that pulls you into its seductive nightlife setting. The artwork is lush and moody, with detailed character designs that fit the neo-gothic (is this even a thing, LOL?) theme. The two main characters, Hugo and his wife Hazel, end up in a swingers' club, where they explore their fantasies and test their boundaries. Hazel’s emotional depth adds weight to the narrative, making her a standout in the cast. The soundtrack isn’t anything to write home about, but it complements the vibe well. While the atmosphere is immersive, the pacing drags at times, with some dialogue feeling repetitive or overly cryptic. Choices matter, but certain endings feel rushed or underdeveloped, leaving plot threads dangling. Despite its flaws, the game has charm—especially if you enjoy slow-burn storytelling and lavish visuals. It’s a solid pick for a late-night playthrough, though don’t expect groundbreaking depth. A flawed but intriguing VN for the right player.

So far i'm at 7.4 hours, and i'm only missing one achievement. Choices and order of choices matter. The renders are great, and so are the animations. It's true that the animations are not true looping, but it's pretty good. The music is ok, but i always switch to sound off after a bit in games. Loved the idea, but they could have had a light bondage room, i guess the toy party is close enough. Also they could have had a scene with the friend that you where looking for after going through all that with amber. But overall great story if you are into the swinging and light d/s sides. Overall i recommend it, and now onto another one of their games :) I'll try to come back later and figure out how to get the 1 achievement i'm missing. The one thing i don't like which i wish you could turn off is the up and down movement of the renders.
Love the wife-swapping kink, and the game delivers plenty of hot content. The writing, however, is just awful. It's overly wordy, and the English feels off. I also had trouble hunting down the hidden polaroids needed for an achievement; the last 2 were a nightmare to find.
I really wanted to like this game of this game, I like the concept. However I find that the story is boring and although the game gives you a lot of things to do none of them are very exciting. If they would spice up the storyline of this game it definitely has potential yet but in my opinion it is not ready for prime time
Club Velvet Rose: Midnight Bliss, developed and published by Lesson of Passion, is an adult visual novel that immerses players in the seductive, emotionally charged atmosphere of an exclusive swingers club. Set in a world of temptation, secrecy, and moral ambiguity, it invites players to explore human desire and relationship boundaries through a story that balances eroticism with interpersonal drama. As with many of Lesson of Passion’s works, the game is designed to be both provocative and narrative-driven, blending sensual storytelling with player choice to create an experience that aims to feel both intimate and consequential. Beneath the allure of its glamorous setting lies a narrative about trust, jealousy, and emotional vulnerability, all framed by the glittering, hedonistic world of Club Velvet Rose. At its heart, the story follows the intertwined relationships of couples and individuals drawn into the club’s orbit. The player takes part in a web of seduction and emotional conflict, navigating encounters that test fidelity, honesty, and desire. The choices you make throughout the story shape the tone and direction of these relationships—whether they evolve into passion, betrayal, or deeper understanding. Each interaction carries weight, not just as an erotic encounter but as a reflection of character growth and personal boundaries. The writing attempts to go beyond surface-level titillation by exploring the emotional complexity of open relationships, unspoken desires, and the fine line between pleasure and guilt. While the focus remains on mature themes, there’s a genuine attempt to give the story emotional resonance rather than letting it devolve into mere fantasy. The presentation of Club Velvet Rose: Midnight Bliss is undeniably one of its highlights. The visual design captures the mood of its setting with a sophisticated edge—lush lighting, elegant character designs, and richly textured backgrounds that make every scene feel intimate and atmospheric. The club itself is portrayed as a place of allure and danger, filled with shadows and soft light that mirror the moral tension at the center of the story. The artwork showcases a careful attention to detail, with character expressions and poses that effectively communicate attraction, hesitation, and vulnerability. The soundtrack enhances this tone, layering smooth electronic and jazz-inspired melodies that heighten the sensual ambiance without overwhelming the narrative flow. Every sound and visual cue contributes to a mood that feels deliberately paced and immersive. Gameplay follows the familiar conventions of visual novels but with a clear emphasis on branching narratives and emotional choice. The structure revolves around dialogue selections that influence relationships and determine which storylines unfold. While the choice system doesn’t offer the extreme divergence found in some narrative-heavy titles, the multiple endings provide incentive for replay, especially for players who enjoy exploring different romantic or moral outcomes. The story is designed to be replayed, encouraging experimentation with choices that can lead to love, betrayal, or self-discovery. There are also Steam achievements tied to key narrative milestones, offering light gamification for completionists. However, some players may find that the branching paths, while meaningful, do not always result in drastically different consequences, giving the illusion of complexity rather than true narrative freedom. The game’s erotic elements are explicit but handled with deliberate care. Every sexual encounter is designed to feel consensual, with an emphasis on atmosphere and character connection rather than shock value. The eroticism is stylized and sensual, matching the game’s mature tone. Still, the challenge for such titles is balancing physical intimacy with emotional credibility, and Club Velvet Rose occasionally falters in that regard. Some scenes shift abruptly between lust and drama, creating tonal inconsistencies that can pull players out of the moment. Despite this, the variety in scenarios and the confidence with which they’re depicted demonstrate a level of craftsmanship uncommon in the genre. The game is unashamed of its adult focus but avoids becoming purely exploitative, presenting sexuality as a narrative force rather than a gimmick. Where Club Velvet Rose shows both its ambition and its limits is in its storytelling depth. The premise offers tremendous emotional potential—examining the complexities of love and temptation—but not all character arcs reach their full potential. Certain storylines resolve too quickly, leaving some emotional beats underdeveloped. At the same time, the pacing can feel uneven, with stretches of slow dialogue followed by sudden bursts of drama. This uneven rhythm mirrors the unpredictability of the club’s world but can frustrate players seeking a smoother narrative flow. Still, the dialogue remains engaging enough to sustain interest, and the chemistry between characters—whether romantic or tense—feels authentic. The writing is strongest when it focuses on moral introspection, asking players to reflect on what commitment and freedom truly mean. Technically, the game performs well. It runs smoothly, the interface is clean, and transitions between scenes are seamless. The developers disclose that AI tools were used to refine certain visual and musical assets, though the artistic direction remains cohesive and professional. The result is a product that feels polished and carefully constructed for its audience. While it doesn’t push technological boundaries, it delivers a consistent level of visual and audio quality that enhances its narrative intent. The inclusion of achievements and multiple endings gives players additional motivation to revisit the story, though the overall playtime remains relatively short, favoring focused replays over extended campaigns. Ultimately, Club Velvet Rose: Midnight Bliss is a confident, sensual, and moody visual novel that caters to mature audiences seeking a blend of eroticism and emotional storytelling. It succeeds most in its atmosphere and aesthetic design, creating a world that feels tangible and intoxicating. The story’s exploration of passion, trust, and temptation makes it more thoughtful than many adult visual novels, even if its writing sometimes lacks the nuance to fully match its ambition. For fans of narrative-driven erotica who appreciate character-driven stories and stylish presentation, it stands out as one of Lesson of Passion’s more sophisticated titles. Though not flawless, it captures the essence of what makes adult storytelling compelling—the tension between heart and desire, love and indulgence, and the choices that reveal who we truly are when the lights go down.
