Bad game all around. The balance is horrible. Starting my career, I have a level 50 Rep, and a level 61 Coaching staff. Expectations are to have a level 69. Except you can't increase your coaching staff levels unless you have rep. So all the goals are pretty much impossible unless you spend real cash. So of course you are fired, and lose all the coins you invested. Quick tip, you NEVER get those coins back. You can "reset" the game, but you start with no coins. No coins, means its impossible to reach any goals, means you are fired. Unless of course you are ready to dump a bunch of real life cash into the game. Very poorly done PTW. A dead forum (both here and their official forum), and absolutely no rules and help resources. Is Easy Going better or worse than Relaxed? Lots of terminology and hidden rules, but no way to find out what is happening since there is no reference material... There are a lot of arbitrary unexplained rules. Selling a player on the transfer market increases your transfer costs? So having the "spend less money" and "make transfer profit" goals at the same time is an instant fail... So not even a good game if you do dump $100+ into it. You are much better off just buying a cheaper/better/less complex soccer simulator like FM21. The UI is pretty horrible. You can't sort your players, or even filter by position. You can't click on team in the fixtures or player pages (no where except directly in league standings). So if you don't happen to remember which league East Podunk promoted into, there is a lot of manual hunting through menus to try and randomly happen upon the team you are going up against in your next match. Each email must be read before you can proceed, and you have to click back into your mailbox to click a new email. Lots of pointless clicking around between days. Currently I have a bug where an advertiser is spamming me EVERY day for weeks on end to try and buy advertising space for $450. I keep saying no, and they come back the next day with the same offer... They will eventually wear me down even though it is a horrible offer... This finances in the game are a complete mess. First season, with a 7500 budget, every scrub wants at least 500, but at least I could bring on youth at 200 to field a squad. Second season, now even the youth players want 500... So not even possible to field a full squad. And then the manager will force players on you, increasing the wage costs, so the board yells at you for the players the manager brought on... Exactly who is in what position here? You have absolute no control over your own destiny, and 0 chance of fielding a team. And the stupid board is still recommending I offer these guys 200, despite the fact no players (youth included) will accept anything lower than 400. So much bad design all over the place. This is 100% PTW. There is no "slow way", you pay or you lose. They use a strategy of shifting buttons around on the UI to try and trick users into making in-app purchases. Sometimes the right button is "OK", sometimes the right button is "Spend all my coins on a useless action". In-app purchases are fine. But be upfront and don't try to trick users into buying stuff through miss-clicks. It is painfully obvious this game is just a cash grab PTW with very little thought into making a playable game.

Literally the biggest waste of time and energy ever, game makes no sense Managing Real Madrid and Zidane wants to sell Valverde, rated at 84 and 21 years old at CM, then wants to bring some random 26 years old CDM rated at 84 to replace him, then wants to strengthen the squad with 79 rated Lanzini, as he rates him wtf Manchester city cant beat Burnley but have no issue againsgt Liverpool Every time i get close to challenging for the top of the league you'll come against newcastle who are bottom of the league, lost their last ten matches but manage beat City 2-1, constantly losing points and eventually getting fired at the end of the season for the same torture. Most teams also have a huge wage deficit when you take over a club and you are forced to ammend it by losing transfer budget before you can even approach players, then i cant afford anyone top tier as they have a 90+million clause which you cant afford so have to settle for lower rated players.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. This game is built for only one thing, you to spend cash on buying everything, every season from extra advertising space to jaunts for morale to extra funds. To manage a certain level of club YOU NEED to purchase the top badges. No matter what effort you put in you will never attract the level of players needed, there is no real control over the game itself, its designed for you to fail to attract the need to spend money on it. AVOID.
Club Soccer Director 2021 is a P2W/P2Play mobile app that's been dumped on Steam as a nasty, greedy cash grab from morally void mobile app developers. It's a basic screen tapper married to an initially complex seeming Soccer club manager game (which quickly turns into a very simple affair of realising you're locked into either grinding an impossibly steep slope, or paying very large sums of money to the developers to "progress"). They don't call these things scams for nothing. While the art assets look deceptively decent, it's just a cheap glossy veneer over an evil cash harvesting hustle, as so many mobile apps are. Mobile screen tapper extortion games like this don't belong on PC. While they advertise this game as " free ", this is part of the racket, they will very quickly be asking you to hand over your money so you can keep tapping your phone screen. This is PC, not mobile. I didn't spend thousands on a gaming rig so I could pretend it's an iPhone. There are genuinely good free to play games on PC. Then there's cash grab nastiness from mobile game peddlers like this one. Avoid this at all costs. This is just a nasty, predatory attempt at extorting PC gamers because mobile devs got away with extorting mobile peasants and they think they can get some of your money too. Don't give it to them.

Absolute trash game. Has some great ideas and foundations but when it comes down to it you're playing a game with 1980 graphics that no matter how great a team, coaches, play style, moral, player health you develop you will never succeed unless you pay money and then pay more money...and then still you're team will still lose to inferior teams. I don't mind paying for games or in game upgrades but at least let me enjoy the game somewhat or make it reasonable to play. If I enjoy a game I'll throw all kinds of money at it but to keep asking me for more money when it does nothing for you or actually make your team worse. Soccer Manager 2021 is 1000 times better than this.
