About
Goo creatures are running amok in the spell factory and its up to you and MAC (Magical Automatic Custodian) to stop them! Guide MAC through five waves of creatures with a boss at the end of each wave. Choose a reward after each fight to craft an unstoppable spell arsenal!

Clockwork Cleanup is an auto-battler where MAC's actions are defined by spell tiles placed in the central grid. The spell tiles are powered by elemental sources located on the perimeter of the grid. You must use pipes and splitters to route the energy to the tiles. Some tiles require multiple elements which can quickly create congestion. Space is limited, but there will be opportunities to expand the grid as you progress.

Modifier tiles can be attached to spell tiles to modify their behavior. A tile that may seem weak could shine with the right mods. Mix and match to find useful combinations.

Once per wave, the workshop offers you a chance to further modify your grid and tiles.
Fuse two elements together to create a dual-element tile.
Cut a tile into two smaller tiles.
Re-arrange the location of input connectors on tiles.
Increase the mod limit
Heal up
or just scavenge for resources in the recycling bins.
You must manage the grid space carefully to craft the right mix of offense, defense, and routing to save the factory!
34 spell (action) tiles
17 modifier tiles
5 special routing tiles and 4 pass-through tiles
35 fights split into 5 waves with a total of 22 enemy types

innocent little free game, the 2nd tier difficulty is frustrating but understandable, thats about it.
Far better than any free game should be
This should be way more popular than it is - fantastic game!

too good to be free, even though I hate roguelike
A nice little game, I'd love to see more content and would happily pay for it.
This game is absolutely fantastic! I would have paid 10 bucks and still been happy, with minor adjustments this feels like a 20 dolor game. Its entirely shocking that such a masterpiece is FREE!!!! I just beat the first Difficulty and am ready to enjoy the rest this game has to offer me. Its free, so what does it hurt to add it to your library? Truly a fantastic game, I will be playing more of it in my free time.
A huge amount of fun, and replaying the game at higher difficulties is actually quite engaging. Haven't used Virtual MAC yet, but I can see how it might be fun.
Really nice game if you like puzzles about optimizing little spaces to fit as many things as possible. I like how, unlike other rogue-likes, it allows you to retry your last fight to test other possibilities in order to minimize how much permanent damage you recieve and / or to try to squeeze a narrow victory instead of having to reset back to the start. While a bit short when compared with other games, for a FREE TO PLAY game it has quite a bit of content if you want to unlock and beat a maximum difficulty run.
perfect and free
Excellent hybrid between a deck building game and puzzle game. I had a piece that would not fit. Until I was against the final boss and got wiped. So, either I was deadlocked or I had to find a way, so the piece ended fitting by clearing the grid and working out a design from the pieces I accumulated. The underground pieces are extremely powerful as are the T pieces. The game is easy overall at pressure and that makes it enjoyable, because it's fair. If you think through your build, the you get a win, unless extremely unlucky or making really poor choices (like not having T pieces) It allows you to change your hand quite easily after a few round by slicing, merging or transmuting pieces. So, even if you are unlucky, you can salvage the situation. I found the UI very readable, I knew what was happening, both in the fight and in the board. All the tools are provided to allow you to understand what is going on. Lastly, because we are in 2026, I have to write about those: no politics, no micro transactions, no BS. Jump in and play like the '80s. To the dev: thanks for the free game! Hope to see more of you (not necessarily free, everyone need to eat!)
