Cliffstone Manor is a very well done VR escape-the-room game. It is polished, including immersive graphics and environments, good voice acting, and challenging puzzles. The atmosphere is neat, and at times creepy. It took me around 2 hours to complete, by far the longest of any such games I’ve played so far! Unlike some other puzzle games where it’s painfully obvious what you need to do, there’s no hand holding here: you’ll need to examine everything in this game thoroughly – hidden objects are actually well hidden. I did encounter a bug or two, where something I was supposed to be able to pickup couldn’t be picked up… but I closed the game, re-opened it, and voila, good to go. So, if you’re stuck, and there’s an object that moves around when you try to pick it up, but you can’t actually pick it up, try that. Thumbs: UP!
Well made mechanical puzzle game.
Cliffstone Manor is charming, atmospheric, and full of surprises. The puzzles require attention to detail and some outside the box thinking. It's a clever way to explore the virtual space with more than a few hours of gametime.
Troppo frustrante!
Sadly, I can't recommend this game. For an escape room game, there is not much actual puzzle solving. It is mostly just finding a well hidden key or well hidden switch. Because of this, it didn't feel particularly satisfying when you complete a level. The style and setting is nice but feels a bit dated. VR controls are not great, it's just push to interact, push to teleport - no locomotion or snap-turning.
I absolutely love Escape Rooms IRL! This game really fulfilled that need to do an escape room. Very well thought out and just hard enough to keep you going.
Plusieurs pièces, puzzles intéressants, décor magnifique, musique également. Dans mon top 5 des jeux d'évasion.
Nice Puzzler, ~1,5 hr of Gameplay
There is a very good amount of work put into this game. Graphics are nice, and audio is fine. However, it doesn't feel like a VR game because of how it is controlled. Left trigger teleports, and right trigger interacts with points of interest only. You can't interact with random objects or throw things around. Also, it is not much of a puzzle game. It is more about finding hidden switches than about solving puzzles. There aren't even any hints to puzzle solutions. You just find the right switch or button to interact with, and you get the puzzle solution. So, the only question I had throughout the whole game was "where do I click next?" because those buttons and switches are very well hidden. I want to give it a thumbs down as a puzzle game, but I will give it a thumbs up because there seems to be a lot of work put into it.
High quality escape room game in a number of stages. Liked it. A lot.
